  • My family flew up from Alabama and we were picked up promptly at Burlington airport by a friendly driver from the resort (thanks, Joe). The resort was fantastic. We stayed in the hotel which was modern but had an old world feel. Our room was great. The mountain is beautiful. The kids took ski lessons from great instructors (thanks Tate, Thomas and Bill) and were skiing down the mountain on the first day. The kids also loved the water park and the climbing wall. Everyone was super friendly. We can't wait to go back.
  • Good skiing with well-maintained trails. The resort is in a very secluded portion of Vermont, but they've done an excellent job building everything you may need (restaurants, bars, grocery store, water park) within the confines of the hotel. I wish the lifts were a little bit faster moving and that the trail signage was a bit more clear. The tram base lodge was also pretty small and was impossible to get a table during lunch time. More space for groups and families in the lodges would be great, but hard to do that without expanding even more than they have!
  • Excellent family resort. Staff and other guests were all helpful and encouraging to young skiers on the slope. The water park was very fun. Good things for all ages: exciting water slides, splash pad, and shalliow pools for just swimming. On-site grocery had a good selection of staples, local beer and wine, so the kitchenette was great for making our own breakfasts and other meals. We can't wait to go back.
  • I've been booking a 30 person trip here for years. Jay has the best snow east of the Mississippi and even in the whole country certain years. Glade system is unrivaled. Super laid back environment and staff always friendly. They could do with some lift updates (and probably would have already if it weren't for that investment scam a few years back) but you generally pretty beat after each run so thw slow ride up can be welcome.
  • Jay Peak is great. Nice newer lodge. Excellent snow conditions. Dress warm especially if you are opting take the Flyer (aka "The Freezer") to the top. The only issue is, the resort is way out in the middle of nowhere. Limited lodging off the mountain. There are some b&b's in town as well as a ski hostel. Decent locals/dive bar in town as well.
