Winery / Vineyard
For seven generations the Wright family has called coastal Currituck County home. Much has changed since original settler Jacob Wright shipwrecked on the shores of Duck, NC, but the family stills honors the farming tradition established hundreds of years ago. Sanctuary Vineyards is the product of centuries of farming experience and dedication to a dream producing world-class wines in Currituck County.

  • We sampled all the wines. I really loved the OBX Ice which is a tasty sweet wine. My husband chose Morton, which is a red blend. Don't skip this free tasting! Ask for Elton! Great server.  more »

  • The wine is fun and different and the wedding venue is spectacular. The staff is always extremely friendly. Stop by and you'll be pleasantly surprised
  • The wine is great and they always have fun events planned
  • We always stop here on our way home from the beach. They have a nice selection of local wines too. I have to stop for the pickled okra.
  • Hey Gin people. Do something about your bathrooms. The men's bathroom has a horrible flickering light similar to horror movies. The composite wood toilet seat is covered with blisters from liquids absorbed over the years. A lack of a lock is compensated by a sign saying "please knock". A sign compensates for a toilet that won't flush properly. Urinal out of order. Women's bathroom out of order. To customers, if you have to go, use the shell station down the road. This great colossal gift shop/vineyard with a vast arrangement of every possible kitsch and knickknack you could want, tidily arranged, has a bathroom that does not meet gas station standards. Christmas crap. Planks of wood with platitudes painted on them. All sorts of jewelry, preserves, a galaxy of kitchen gadgets, miserable bathrooms.
  • I'm from Charlotte and l alway stop in on my way down to the beach . love walking around to see what new,l try to stop by about 4 time a year
