  • so many old desert artifacts , a tower with views of,,, umm, nowhere. A easy climb of coves and rocks that have been carved into animals
  • Stopped here on way to San Diego from Phoenix; not easy to see on return trip. It's free to walk around the lower level inside and explore the gift shop/artifact collection. Great views and a relaxing...  more »

  • This place is awesome and has a really good host. From here you can overlook ALL of Imperial Valley if the sky is clear enough. Apart from being able to go to the top of the tower you can also explore the caves that are set up nearby. There are a few surprising carvings made there and are a must see. Would really recommend in late summer/early winter since in the summer it can get too hot to hike the rock caves.
  • It is the most fun. Hiking , camping and the teepee. I miss the solitude and the stars at night. I can't wait to return.
  • It's an interesting place. There is a very cool pile of aliens-themed stuff near the entrance and their shop has many interesting souvenirs to buy (or at least look at).
  • This place is a very cool and one of a kind place. Passed it several times on trips and finally stopped and it was worth ever minute and dollar spent there, very inexpensive. Amazing rock sculputures, caves and views from tower r worth a million bucks. Must see for everyone who passes it!!
  • I always pass by the tower but never actually stopped to look. After the steep incline from Ocotillo you'll see the tower on the west-bound side of the freeway. There's a whole lot of cool looking UFO looking things parked out front of the gate that leads to the tower. The staff running the place is super friendly and were very knowledgeable in the history of the area. There is around a 6$ charge to go the top of the tower. However, it's definitely worth it. At sunset the views are AMAZING. The warm shades from sunset complement all the stratified rocks in the desert valley, which used to be an ancient seabed. Not to mention how cool the giant windmills look from afar. West of the tower are some art exhibits that are built into the hillside that are worth a look. (comes free with the tower admission). From there you can work your way up the hill for an even higher viewpoint that rival those from the tower. Dont just pass this place up like I always did. Check it out!
