  • First time visiting today new to the area, actually got some great bargains. Also stopped by the puppy stand it was actually clean and the puppies were clean and the guy was very friendly. Will be going back.
  • NEVER, EVER, EVER go to the Pecan Flea Market unless you just like junk; NEVER to buy a puppy from the "Puppy Man- Mr. Glover". When we went there, he already had a deposit on a puppy but said he would sell me the puppy anyway. I was desperately looking for my Mom on Valentine's week-end, and he was the only person with a Shih Tzu puppy. When I questioned him about the health of the puppy and the age, he became insulted, and told me he would not sell me a puppy. He said I could be trouble for him. I said I wanted the puppy, and he snatched it out of my hand so hard, it hurt my hand, and hurt the one pound puppy. I cried for the puppy, and sent someone back later to see if she was OK, but she was gone. This is a brutal person who should not be allowed to touch or sell puppies.
  • Stopped at this one just after New Year 2016. Advertised themselves as having a good produce section.... they DON'T! Weather was iffy so no real outside vendor presence. It looks like it's one of those that's headed for mostly the 'new' 'new-used' merchandise and bazzar stalls rather than a traditional flea market. If you want a wider selection of vintage flea market scrounging and you're heading south on 95 wait until you get to St Augastine and stop there.
  • "Fake" stuff? Knock offs you mean? Well, it is a flea market after all. Nieman Marcus has got you covered there Rockefeller. Flea markets are for us lowly peasants.
  • NEVER, Ever, Ever, go to the "PUPPY MAN" in this flea market. I visited his ramshackle "booth" and was greeted by a horrible smell on Valentine's day. I would never look for a puppy in a flea market except for my Mom. She had lost her shih tzu dog, was crying all day, and I was determined to find a puppy for her. The flea market was the last resort. We walked in and saw one tiny shih tzu puppy. When we asked to look at her, the man snatched it out of the cage and flopped her on the table like a piece of meat. He said he had a deposit on her but he would sell her to us anyway. Wink, wink.... I thought that was odd as well as wrong. I picked her up and asked a question about her eyes, as they were cloudy and unfocused. He became angry and said he would not sell her to me. He grabbed this tiny one pound puppy out of my hand so hard, it crushed my hand. I cannot imagine how it felt to that little puppy. I called him some names that fit him perfectly, mostly for the brutal way he handled that tiny puppy. I believe he was afraid I would be trouble to him. I also believe the puppy was under 8 weeks old, which is illegal to sell in Florida. I left, physically sick to my stomach, and will NEVER, EVER, EVER set foot in the Pecan Flea Market again. If they allow this kind of Vendor, I am not interested in anything out there. I am reporting this person and his "business" to EVERY proper authority in the City of Jacksonville, and the State of Florida. Hopefully, over time, this type of situation will cease to exist.
