Where to stay in Jacksonville

Accommodations are spread out across Jacksonville and mainly consist of large hotels. For a more scenic stay, consider a hotel on the riverfront or the coast. Beachside accommodations provide the added benefit of being in a much quieter and slower-paced part of the city, but you are farther away from the majority of the city's cultural attractions. If you are planning a longer stay, consider a vacation rental with a kitchen to help ease food costs. These rentals are frequently located in residential neighborhoods.

  • I have played this course weekly since 2008. It is a challenging course for those who hook or slice. Water on every hole except 17 - which has a marsh and sand trap. My wife also plays and this is her...  more »
  • I liked the course when it was in top shape. Course does have water on most holes, so it can be a little intimidating, but, overall, a fun course.  more »
  • This golf course is in very poor shape. I think the layout is terrific but the greens were horrible and the rest of the course suffers from neglect. We played it 2 years ago after Billy Casper Golf wa...  more »

  • Great layout and condition. Greens are consistent and fairways are well defined and cut. No blind shots but water in play on most holes. Good overall condition and friendly and helpful staff. Made me feel welcome and placed me a good group of players. Fun course.
  • Had a horrible and unprofessional experience with the owner of the course. If you've been there before, there is a barn at the end of the driving range which I was accused for purposely aiming for and putting his workers at risk. I however did not come close to hitting the barn as there was 10+ other golfers on the range at the time, but was blamed out of everyone on the range. The "owner" rolled up on his cart and started cussing me out and throwing F bombs in front of everyone including minors. I have not been there in quite some time (over a year) because of the condition of the course which has improved since the last time I've been there. But, you're better off playing at South Hampton right across the street for a better experience and course. I am rating this 1-star based on the way I and my group was treated that day. I called the General Manager and expressed my feelings but I doubt I will get a call back from the owner with an apology. I would rate the condition of the course 2/5 as it has improved but speed of play has always been the same (5+ hours).
  • They have two really hot waitresses(one blonde and one brunette) and they were very nice. 5 STARS
  • Course is nice well kept. Waitress was excellent. ..Ashley ... food was good.
  • I golf all around North FL and South GA. We played at the whites and they paired us up with players at the tip. We later let them played thru. We were also behind a 3some group of ladies, all with their own cart. I brought Gatorade with me and got yelled out with no outside beverages. It's not worth it unless there is a groupon or tournament.
