Where to stay in Jacksonville

Accommodations are spread out across Jacksonville and mainly consist of large hotels. For a more scenic stay, consider a hotel on the riverfront or the coast. Beachside accommodations provide the added benefit of being in a much quieter and slower-paced part of the city, but you are farther away from the majority of the city's cultural attractions. If you are planning a longer stay, consider a vacation rental with a kitchen to help ease food costs. These rentals are frequently located in residential neighborhoods.

  • Lots of walking areas with seating. Reenactment and history buffs would like. Directly backs up to the Baldwin rails for trails. Beautiful, peaceful area.  more »
  • For years I've wanted to visit this Jacksonville park but either it was raining or too hot or I was to busy. I finally got the chance this year. It's sort of an isolated park so use your GPS. When we ...  more »
  • We started a bike ride on the Jax Baldwin Rails to Trails trail here. Great find for bikers, walkers or just strollers. The park itself is also just a good stop. You could spend an hour at the park or...  more »

  • Nice way to spend so time at no cost. They have picnic tables you can use to rould out your time.
  • This place is a good place to take a walk. It is also a good place to take a homeschooler or a group of Scouts. Can't Milton was an earth work Fort during the Civil War. There are signs on the grounds that explain what happened here. But if you are expecting to find remains or a fort like you would find at the Casteel San Marco you will be disappointed. There are not much things to see out here. There is a beautiful walk though to take out in the nature and a wonderful covered walk out in the woods with a lot of sign showing where the Earthworks were. There is also an Old Farm that shows what an Old Farm would have looked like. It is a great place to take a nice nature walk for the day.
  • Beautiful park and paths adjacent to the Baldwin Rail Trail. Local history on display as well!
  • Excellent bike trail. Minimal road crossings. The trail behind the bathroom cabin leads to camp milton
  • This place is great to be out in nature and to walk and there are Pokemon Go stops out there for all the kids.
