Where to stay in Jacksonville

Accommodations are spread out across Jacksonville and mainly consist of large hotels. For a more scenic stay, consider a hotel on the riverfront or the coast. Beachside accommodations provide the added benefit of being in a much quieter and slower-paced part of the city, but you are farther away from the majority of the city's cultural attractions. If you are planning a longer stay, consider a vacation rental with a kitchen to help ease food costs. These rentals are frequently located in residential neighborhoods.

  • I find baseball to be very boring but the Jacksonville Suns... I mean JUMBO SHRIMP do a good job of putting on events to draw in crowds. The bring your dog day is very cool and date night is a great idea. Keep 'em coming guys.
  • Fireworks, kids can run the bases on certain days, very family friendly with a playground in the outfield area. You can bring lawn chairs for the Berm area. Home team pitching warm-up area is easily accessible to kids. Great place for birthday parties.
  • I loved attending the Jacksonville Suns games and so much loved how they were kind enough to play a game with my sons Miracle League team. I'm very unhappy that they removed the children's playground and only left the burning hot bounce houses that you have to pay extra for and can't even see the field from. I haven't attended half as many games this year for that very reason.
  • Beautiful little park, close parking, and decent prices make for a nice baseball experience. Be sure to try the fried shrimp! They're delicious. Tickets for most Jumbo Shrimp games are less than $10.
  • A very nice baseball stadium! Well maintained, clean, a good selection of vendors, and family affordable! Parking was easy and affordable as well. Bring cash for parking though, not many ATMs near the stadium.
