The Museum of the Earth is a natural history museum located in Ithaca, New York. The museum was opened in 2003 as part of the Paleontological Research Institution (PRI), an independent organization pursuing research and education in the history of the Earth and its life. Both PRI and the Museum of the Earth are formally affiliated with Cornell University. This is a great small museum showcasing the pre-history of the area from planet formation to the age of mammals. There was also an excellent separate exhibit about bees. more »

Great museum to go with the family. Our grandchildren and adult family members enjoyed the hands-on activities. A good educational experience for all of us!

A nice place for a visit. You might not enjoy the place if you're not an enthusiast in anthropology. They don't have any food accessible. But it's a good one time visit.

Nice museum! Plenty to see and do for a few hours. We loved the exhibits and had a great time at the touch tank (only available at certain times) and the fossil dig area.
