  • This place was a complete surprise to me. It is wonderful -- its fossil collection is superb, and it tells the story of earth way better than other places -- even better than the huge science museums....  read more »
  • This is an exceptional natural history museum. One of the best educational experiences on the various eras of earth's history I have ever experienced. This is a museum that will stick with me. The paleontological specimens are also superb.
  • Interesting museum covering all geological time periods. Not super in depth but a good amount of information. Good educational videos as well. Recently renovated and it looks like they're getting some new exhibits. A great way to spend the afternoon learning.
  • Kind of a hidden gem! Been visiting Ithaca from Syracuse for years and didn't know this place existed until last year. Coolest place in upstate for fossils! My 4 year old love it and so did my husband and I. Wish we weren't running through because there was a lot of information to read. Was kind of bummed that most of the fossils were only casts but still interesting none the least. Definitely make a stop here if you have not before. You won't be disappointed!
  • Awesome place to walk through the different stages of earth's history and see how they relate to earth's present. Amazing fossil collection. A big city museum in the small city of Ithaca
  • My children and I adore this place. We love watching fossilized bones being chipped from the encasing rock. The walk-through glacier is nifty, but don't dare anyone to lick the ice wall.
