Had an enjoyable time. Wasn't crowded and had nice changing facilities. Beach was clean. Dog friendly. Lots of families. more »
Laid back, clean, easy to get to, playgrounds, lots of beach space! Dogs are welcome, though I don't remember what the regulations are. more »

Great place to go for beach access on the Isle of Palms. Now that the city is ramping up tickets for on-street parking, I highly suggest this lot. Aside from beach access, the facility has lots of showers for washing off after the beach, great bathrooms, an outside play area for children, changing stalls, etc. They also have stands for simple food items, chairs, and umbrellas. My greatest tip, however, is to go as soon as they open. Because of all their amenities, this lot fills up very quick in peak season.
Price has gone up from $5 to $8 for the day, but it is worth it. Well maintained with plenty amenities and services, a snack shack with a shop for decently priced beach accessories, and picnic tables. Freshwater showers to rinse off are a huge plus! ADA compliant ramps right up to the beach. They also have wheelchairs with beach tires that you can get for the day by leaving your driver's license as a deposit.
Lots of space to spread out and enjoy the beach! Places to shower off and rinse you feet off as well after the water and sand! Restrooms available, little store cart to by random beach things and even sometimes a food truck!
Beach area great. Nice little play area for kids, a few grill cooking sites, some vendors, etc.
