We arrived after the cabin had closed for the season; however, the outside of the cabin is accessible and very interesting. The cabin is located a short walk from the parking areas. Beautiful scenery.... more »
For us, this was a side trip on a visit to Yellowstone National Park. The cabin, which was built by an early settler in the area, is kept in sparkling condition and even features a paddle wheel nearby... more »

A hidden gem in the area. Johnny Sack was a talented carpenter. Take the short scenic walk around the 40th largest spring in the world to explore the cabin. Truly inspiring. You may get to see a Moose... more »
It's out there, but it's surrounded by wonderful scenery. It's worth it just for the fresh air, but the history is pretty cool too. I'm jealous of old Johnny Sack.
Nice place to see. Too much asking for donations everywhere you look though. It's a little walk from the main road, but worth it. It is a paved walking path.
What a fun and quaint place to visit. The woodwork throughout the cabin is just inspiring.
I hope the gov takes care of this treasure for others to enjoy for years to come. It is special
