  • During a recent visit to Hawaii I was fortunate to be able to play 4 rounds at this golf course. The golf is challenging but fun and the view is to die for. Hard to focus on golf with so many spectacu...  read more »
  • We played Hapuna twice while in the area. The first time we played, we didn't see another group until we were on the 12th hole. We had an 8AM tee time and were able to tee off immediately and move alo...  read more »
  • The course has matured and is in excellent condition. I played here in June 2000 for the first time. I played it again as part of the Golf Card 'bundling' - I played Mauna Kea twice and the Hapuna cou...  read more »
  • Just recently went to go play at hapuna and was pleasantly surprised at the pure quality of the course. It doesn't have too much of a curb appeal but once you are on the 3rd or 4 the hole you really take in the ocean and mountain views. It isn't crowded usually and kept very well. I would say it is pricy but much worth 18 holes of your time.
  • We drive over frm the East side of the island to play it periodically. Excellent course and one that demands control as opposed to length. Course always in great condition and very friendly staff. One of the best golf values on the West Side of the Big Island. Course has won awards for environmental concerns and minimizing use of water. This tranlates into tighter fairways and strategic shotmaking. Demanding but fun where you don't have to drive a ball over 250 yards to enjoy it.
  • Friendly staff, well maintained course with many tight fairways. Not Arnold Palmers best design but it is reasonably priced. Comparable in cost to the Waikoloa courses, in much better shape and much more challenging.
  • Terrible, unorganized management. They will lie to your face about tee times and the amount of people on course. They just want your money and don't care if you have an enjoyable time on the course. Nice course that puts a premium on your drives. Greens are large and fast at times. Hit the fairways and you can score very well. Miss them and you will be fighting to make par.
  • It was a pretty fun course layout! ( ´ ▽ ` )b
