  • Good way to kill an hour, watching planes take off and land at DFW. Get a flight tracket (Flight Radar 24) and you will be able to tell where each plane came from.  more »

  • Really neat area for younger kids. Nice large grassy area for them to run around in our to have a picnic if you don't want to sit at a table. Free telescopes to see the airport (however some do need to be repaired). Radio traffic is broadcast so you can hear what is going on. However, beware no bathrooms. I would avoid going at lunch time, as a lot of people go here to sit in there cars to eat. So parking gets a little scarce. However it's completely free and how often can you find free entertainment anymore?
  • This is a hidden gem. You can come out here and take the family. Watch planes take off and land. It's st up kind of like a highway test stop. They have seats and tables in the shade, a nice area for the kids to run around and they even pipe in the ATC communications. Nice place to just sit, relax and have your lunch.
  • Great public access point to watch airport operations. Radio traffic piped in over loudspeakers. Lots of unique and interesting exhibits. Kid friendly. Plenty of parking.
  • Neat place to take kids or visitors from out of town. I was able to take our Cub Scouts, and they enjoyed watching the planes. Also plenty of space for them to run around.
  • I really liked this place. There are two things it needs. 1 it needs a restroom and 2 there needs to be some place that is totally covered in case it rains.
