  • Been here many times with my children, they really love it! This is a hands on interactive museum where children can explore every day places in their community which have been brought to their level....  more »
  • Pretend City is located in Irvine, and like everything else in this city, is well signposted and in good condition. It is not a very economical choice (compared like many others in Southern California) but worth a visit, if not bad memory is $12 per person (adults and children pay) in essence Pretend City is precisely that, a place where children can play in the po station Lycia, fireman, super market, dental / medical, restaurant, beach, post office, farm etc... Unfortunately there were many areas outside of free teaching material and an area of food which consists of a few they machines of beverage and snack service. It has ample parking and a store with all kinds of educational toys. Really expecting much more of the place, not for nothing but the Trompo Magico Museo de Guadalajara is much better (just to name one example) more but it is worth getting to know.

  • Nice little place for the kids to spend hours playing all different kinds of roles. Even if I prefer close by Adventure land with our 2.5 year old this is a great alternative when the weather is bad.  more »

  • I love going to baby steps especially. The facility is clean, there's plenty of activities and the staff is very helpful. I recommend this place to all moms with younger kids. Only cons is during normal sessions, some of the older children go into the designated toddler area and I feel like my non walker could get injured if not watched closely due to excited older children. Overall very enjoyable
  • I visited Pretend City last week on a field trip with my daughter and her school (Kid's ages 2-4) and we all had a blast. Even us parents! This is a place where your child can learn something new while still having fun. There are so many different activities and ways to earn/spend pretend money. All of the pretend facilities are big enough for adults to play in and there is even a play area for the younger babies ages 2 and under. The staff is very friendly. No complaints.
  • Pretend city is all about educational fun while playing indoors. There are many events throughout the year that keep us returning and you can also buy a membership and since it's a non-profit you can use it as a write off at tax time. With all sorts of different real-life Hands-On experiences, kids of all ages get to participate in a day-to-day active fun challenging themselves with grocery store shopping, dress up play, post office, pretend restaurant, baby chicks, and so much more. We love Pretend City!
  • Oh my goodness this place is so amazing! I brought my son here. He is a year and 3 months and he absolutely loved everything. There is so much to look at and to play with and experience. I could honestly just sit back and let my son do his thing but I couldn't even help myself from playing with everything with him. There are water tables. Painting areas a little supermarket. Farming. Beach with actual sand. Cars of all kinds to ride in. Play house. And that's only the half of it! We didn't have time to explore the rest but we are definitely going to be returning soon. The staff was very helpful and things were well maintained and kept up so even though I tried to pick up things after my son it helped to have the extra pair of hands be there to assist so I could focus on playing and experiencing with my son.
  • My almost six year old had great time there. She enjoyed working and earning money at different jobs. She just wished there could have some adults leading them how to perform the work instead of just they pretend and play freely.
