Russell Orchards Reviews
Russell's orchard is a very special place! My family has been going there for years to pick apples and eat cider donuts! Now my grandchildren have picked apples there and gone on a hayride! They have ... more »
Given the time of year it was no surprise that pumpkins where for sale and the place was covered in the orange fruit. Sunny weekend day, so loads of people, but not crowed. Take a walk to see the farm... more »
We went with our two granddaughters (and daughter and son in law) to pick apples. They have a very nice store with farm products. The kids loved visiting the ducks and geese at the pond. The apple pic... more »
The best apple cider donuts and apple pies. I can't get enough of the apple cider donuts. They have the Make-Your-Own Apple Pies Saturdays & Sundays from 11-4 until Thanksgiving. The provide the fixings and help you make your own pie. We tried it and you can't fail. Unfortunately, they close from Thanksgiving on.
A laid back and lovely farm .. we did some blackberry picking and exquisite wine tasting here. The Apple cider donuts are freshly made and please don't miss it. It's kind of a family run farm and features good organic vegetables, fruits, wines, ice cream and much more. A great getaway place not so far from the city, nice people there and some good authentic and healthy food. if you need some worthwhile time to be spent with your family and children , get here. Period.
Your typical farm with a farm store, with cider donuts, ice cream, fresh fruit and vegetables. There was you-pick blueberries and blackberries when we were very there, which looked popular, but we didn't do it. We just made a quick stop to get some fresh fruit and ice cream. You can sit at the table near a pond and watch ducks and swans swimming in the pond. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area
Great experience! Lots of apples to pick and the cider donuts are made hot and fresh right there. Also lots of jams and locally made foods and honey etc. Russell also has their own winery. The wine seemed a bit expensive. The experience as a whole is well worth it. Even some animals to look at too.
Fun place to go, animals to see and you can feed the ducks. Apple's are good and a large orchard to walk.
