I have fond memories of sitting on the bridges listening to the water trickle by. This place provides rustic camping, Baseball Diamond, Rentable Buildings, as shooting club. Recommended for Family Pic... more »
We have rented the cabin for winter camping a couple times, it's a neat experience for our boys group but you are roughing it. The kitchen and entrance area could be improved, no running water or heat. The power was out this past winter. The fireplaces take a full two days to heat up the lodge in the winter. The sledding hill is great and there are nice hiking trails.
Although it was still winter when I visited here, I was amazed at the size of this wooded park as well as all the amenities! It has rustic, 1930s-era Michigan park signage, but it has a lodge you can rent, a shooting range, a natural sledding hill, a camping area, hiking trails, picnic pavilions, a designated trout stream - and of course playground equipment. The restrooms are not outhouses, another plus in my book! If it was located on a lake, it really would have it all!
A gem of a park. Great place to camp, play frisbee golf, play in the streams or wander the trails. Beautifully landscaped and picturesque.
Large park with disc golf and hiking trails. Camping is available with a variety of campsites that are well spread out. This offers campers a choice of sites along the beaten trail or secluded sites with a good degree of privacy. Reservations are not necessary to camp, in my experience you can drive there and pick a spot. Firewood prices have to be the most reasonable I have ever seen, so be cool and don't abuse the available wood! Take and pay for the portions as listed, someone has to split it.
Very good park 👍 you see some cool stuff
