  • awesome lake, good trail and nice town to visit. great off road bike trail and paved one goes through town
  • I spent a 4-day camping trip here and enjoyed it very much. The campground is nice, but small, and some sites are pretty close. Amount of shade varies and it's best to reserve a spot ahead of time, al...  read more »
  • Used a buddy site and had a great time. Close to the lake and bathroom facilities if they are close by (if needed). Also clean out are is nearby.
  • Pros: Multiple Electrical pull in/thru sites Modern bathrooms and showers available Cheap fees ($16 elec / $11 non) Most campsites reasonably shady Lake concessions is beach adjacent and rents small watercraft Close to Indianola if you're not a camper or need Wal-mart, Fareway, Caseys, or excellent local restaurants. Lots of mowed shore with benches and shade trees Trails, trails and more trails Cons: Playground is a short walk from campsite, not far but far enough might prefer driving to it with toddlers and younger. A lot of the non-electrical sites were on varying degrees of slope and some electrical sites are not tent friendly Bathrooms at beach area were horrible, soap was empty, hand dryer was broken, urinal was out of order, handicap stall was a mess and clogged. On a Thursday in late June. No T-Mobile signal except in a few spots by the beach. Verizon, AT&T and US Cellular should have better coverage to at least phone and text.
  • Visited with kids to play for a bit, and have camped here. Sites are small and close together, so not out preferred campground. Beach is free, but small. The shelter smelled like urine. Fishing is decent and there are a few trails. Very pretty area. Lake is no wake so not a lot of loud boating.
  • Beautiful and clean. Great lake to explore in a paddle boat or board.
  • Great fishing on a low key lake
  • It's a great place
