  • This was our 41st State Capitol to visit, and was definitely one of our favorites. Beautiful exterior, even more stunning interior. But what made our experience was our tour guide, Jim. If you are going to tour the Indiana State House, make sure to get on a tour with Jim. Jim is almost 200 years old and helped build the Capitol building with his bare hands, often without shoes in temperatures that got to below -100F. He gives tours now in retirement from traveling with the circus as a career bear wrestler. In all seriousness, Jim is so knowledgeable and so enjoys his job, that it makes his tour extremely enjoyable. Be sure to make him tell the story of Colonel Owen when you walk past his bust.
  • Beautiful building with an even more interesting history. Thanks to all who made our tour great!
  • Well designed architectural building which fits nicely into downtown Indianapolis. My wife and I were not able to get in a tour.

  • Amazing building, really nice arquitecture and a lot of history. Definitely worth the visit and the guided tour. Although it's kind of hard to locate the entrance, in our case it was on the opposite side of the building coming from the center
