Where to stay in Indianapolis

With limited public transportation in the city, those traveling without a car should consider the location of their accommodations carefully. To stay within walking distance of Indianapolis’ best restaurants and bars, look for a hotel or apartment rental in the arty Mass Ave or Broad Ripple neighborhoods. Downtown lodgings are often more expensive, but provide easy access to Indy’s best-known attractions for those on vacation. Bed and breakfasts in the city’s residential areas provide a healthy dose of Midwestern charm.

  • All of us were first time climbers in our party of 7 (6-13 year olds, 1-mom). I was hesitant a bit because of some of the older (2012-2014) negative reviews about this place. However, upon arriving, t...  more »
  • Fun time at Climb time. Well, it's always frustrating to see your 14year old climbing a whole in a few seconds when yourself have trouble lifting your aging body for minutes without any grace... But i...  more »

  • The staff is informative and helpful. They care about your safety and thankfully do not allow any monkey business. No pun intended. You may call ahead to see how busy it is if you don't want to be around crowds. They take care of the place well. Drinks are purchased from a vending machine and little lockers are available. There's climbing with harness or without in designated areas. Good times for kids and friends.
  • This is a great climbing place for all ages. The staff are super nice and helpful and there is always a new challenge to take on.
  • Whether bouldering on the ceiling piques your fancy or maybe you're wanting to learn what climbing is all about, Climb Time offers a welcoming environment to hone your skills and strengthen those fingers.
  • I was just here recently and it was defiantly not what I expected. When I first walked in there was a horrible smell. This kind of gave me a bad feeling about this place. The staff were VERY unfriendly and unhelpful. We came on kind of a crowded day, but the staff members seemed very overwhelmed with all of the people. There were a few kids putting harnesses on for the top rope walls, and when the kids did not put them on correctly, the staff just stood behind the counter and brushed it off. I would NOT recommend going here. It is unsafe and dirty. Very bad experience.
  • Good walls and equipment was mostly up to par. The location is a bit smaller than expected, considering it costs almost as much as Evo across town.
