  • Cool place with great beers. If you like 'me high in abv and tasty, this is your place. Great location as well.
  • Great variety of beers! The food was great as well - we had the cheese board, sandwiches and a Thai soup. Will definitely return when I am back in Indy.
  • Had a break for beer, food and conversation. Not a typical bar, but a more casual setting. Service was friendly and great. The drinks and food were good and reasonably priced. Nobody rushed us to leav...  read more »
  • Can you still call a hole in the wall one if it's stylish- or is that an oxymoron? Well that's my impression of Black Acre. The seating area is conservative and if the weather is poor and the patio is closed then finding seating inside can be a bitter as an IBU of 75. Black Acre is a perfect place for those what to stray from the typical Indy Craft beers and try something new. The service is always friendly and knowledgeable- and their sweet potatoes fries are delicious. Their food section is what let's me down. It's cheese plates, salads and paninis- much more of an afternoon snack then dinner or bar food. My recommendation- get a flight to try a few- then order a growler to share!
  • Very popular local hangout. Decent beer, though it's mostly dark and hoppy. Not strong on lagers, ambers, wheats. Good branding. Good food. Clean. Servers can be hipster snobbish. I only get friendly service if I go with my tattooed friends. Despite serving food, this establishment is 21 and over only.
  • Best Brewery in Indianapolis. Top quality. Try the Noxious Beast IIPA
  • Great beer and great paninis. Wait staff is very nice and they have a beer for just about everyone. They chart their beer by bitterness so you can pretty easily find what you're looking for. On top of that, great aesthetic inside.
  • We just stumbled onto this place. We just did a small road trip from the STL, which knows beers,& we found this awesome gem! Brought some back to sample for everyone & people can't stop talking about it!
