The largest wild bird hospital and sanctuary in the United States, Seaside Seabird Sanctuary rescues and rehabilitates injured wild seabirds in hopes of returning them to nature. Spend time up close with the permanently injured birds who reside at the sanctuary full time and take pictures of some of the 600 wild birds that come through. Make sure to bring sunscreen and water, as the sanctuary is mostly outdoors. Be aware that like any place heavily populated by birds, there can be a strong smell. We passed it several times while walking the beach and made a quick stop. Interesting mission, rescuing injured and sick birds. Be careful where you step and what you touch.

We had fun seeing all the birds and walking on the beach. There was a large variety of birds. We hit feeding time which was interesting. Watch out for birds overhead pooping on you.

I stopped by with my children who are learning about birds at school. Lots of birds to see. A volunteer brought out an owl for us to meet. Another worker showed us some baby owls they had rescued just yesterday. She was headed out to try to reunite them with their parents. We really enjoyed the many pelicans, in particular. Interesting place that's doing great work. Free parking and admission, but donations are taken.

What a great little place! There were LOTS of birds to see, even a couple owls & a bald eagle! These folks are doing great work & they don’t even make u pay an admission, but you should definitely donate some cash in the many donation boxes located throughout because they are obviously keeping the bird wildlife protected in this area. Great little giftshop with sodas & ice cream & souvenirs too!

Great place to see all kinds of birds. Very well cared for and clean. Birds are so friendly. Walkway straight to the beach from bird sanctuary. We went bird watching and then for a nice long walk in the beach. Admission is free, donations gladly accepted to help maintain the grounds and feed the birds. A must see if in the area!!

This place is wonderful. I love to come and escape. With the world as mad as it is, it's nice to be around the peacefulness of animals. The staff here are informative and helpful if you have any questions. I'm grateful there are rescue centers and sanctuaries so we can observe the animals and also observe the harm we can cause them with our pollution. These places are important to visit and donate to. Definitely take a visit. It's a very enjoyable walk around and is right on the ⛱️ beach.

Unbelievably cool place. Little but appropriate for the location. Staff seems very caring and there for the right reasons. Tons of birds just flying freely, great spot for kids
