  • We shot some video for our YouTube channel at the hatchery, but it was closed due to weather. What we did see was magnificent. You can watch it too on YouTube video bYQa-lF1JbY

  • Loved it! Who knew there was a little piece of paradise in the middle of California desert? It was amazing, peaceful, and you can buy fish food for a buck and feed the fish Cana which is a lot of fun
  • We visited this historic site while RVing in Lone Pine. The building and grounds are beautiful! A must stop if you’re in the area! Check out our video on YouTube search for Wandered Off
  • We visited when it was still an active hatchery. The buildings are beautiful, the grounds make for a good rest stop or picnic area. A stop well worth your time.
  • Had a wonderful stop visiting & eating lunch at Mt. Whitney Fish Hatchery. Worth the time to stop, stretch you legs on a drive along HWY 395.
  • A beautiful pond with fish and amazing building. Interesting history from 1908, the City if Independence bought the land and donated to the state.
