  • Attempted the trail on a rainy day. Got about halfway. After much slipping and sliding and the trail becoming uneven and warned that it was worse ahead we decided to abort the mission to do a previous...  more »
  • Was beautiful watching the waves come in. Would like to go back when the weather is better, but so worth even in the rain! :)  more »
  • It is a bit of a walk .6 miles I believe up to the lighthouse. Part of the trail is winding and a little mudddy on a rainy day. But what lighthouse isn't worth a walk on a muddy trail. Oregon/Washingt...  more »
  • It's a short walk from the parking lot. First some downhill and then a steep uphill. Less than a mile though. Beautiful views once you get to the lighthouse. Well worth the hike.
  • Beautiful place. I love it but... why can't they paint the lighthouse every few years so it looks nice and pristine like the ones on the east coast??
  • But if a hike for kids but great view and you can get right up to the lighthouse.
  • Nice views. Fun to watch the coast guard work from this vantage point.
  • I love this place. The lighthouse is so cool, and there was a nice man from the coastguard that works in a little shack next to it. Told us about the lighthouse history and what its like to work there. I wish we could have seen the inside of the relic. But the man said it was too old to let visitors in. Oh well... We got some splendid pictures up there and its only a 1/2 mile hike to get there. If you're going to or coming from Astoria, you need to go see this place first when you have time. Its very quaint. You will not be disappointed at Cape Disappointment. :)
