  • Don't go into this place expecting a pristine environment and 5-star service. This is a budget, dive bar kind of hot springs. We go here because its the closest hot springs to home and the pool is kin...  more »
  • Good for a quick day trip from Denver. Water temp in the main pool was perfect for me and my 8 month old son (96 degrees). We didn't have time to use any other facilities but it felt like a neat escap...  more »

  • This is a family favorite getaway. About an hour drive from Denver the small town of Idaho Springs has lots of fun stuff to offer. And if you want to do it right you want to stay at Indian Hot Springs. That's because you can enjoy the hot caves, swimming in there indoor pool, as well as private baths and massage. They have a really good package that includes dinner at your choice of the popular restaurants in town. I will admit the place does seem a little dated and could use some updates but if you are open to a fun experience and an affordable trip I highly recommend it.
  • I have been coming to the hot springs for nearly 20 years. I went to the hot springs the other day to use the caves. The culture of a quiet place with hot clean pools has been replaced by lights turned up all the way, cloudy and cool pools, and party-dudes wearing swim suits loudly ruining the once meditative and beautiful space. I asked for a credit for my next visit as the cloudy and cold pools did not live up to former expectations. I was told I was making a scene, passed around the staff, and even stared down by the manager who would not procure the GM. To the woman who stared me down - You did a very good job protecting your GM. I almost walked away. If your GM does not have your back, and you are forced to respond like you did, then you have a terrible GM. You should take the position, that person is garbage. When you take over as GM, as you are far more qualified than whomever was hiding behind you, I implore you to not let the springs turn into a partied out spring break atmosphere. Turn the lights down, get rid of the bathing suit option, and keep a very strict no talking policy. Please stay up on the maintenance of the baths. I do not want to see another place ruined by the permissive party type atmosphere all over the place now.
  • I really enjoy coming here to go to the pool, especially to hang out near the hot spring "jet" in the back corner where the water is very warm (or really hot if you're right at the jet). That being said, I could easily see how coming here would not be very enjoyable if it was very crowded, especially if there are screaming kids. I personally would recommend going in the morning, or at least before 1/2 pm. The times I have been I am just leaving at this time and it is getting quite crowded. Also be aware that they now don't allow eating near the pool. This is by no means a "luxury" experience, the pool/building is quite old, but if you happen to go during a less crowded time it is still very enjoyable. Paid about 20$ per person (adults) for the pool.
  • The private hot tub was cold, not even close to warm, it was also kind of slimy. The room looks like grandma’s living room. The sheets feel like 30 grit sandpaper, the shower is tiny, and there’s no mini fridge. Our beverages have been getting warm all afternoon. The ice machine next to our room sounds like a whale about to barge into our room any second—it’s so loud. At least it’s quiet in here. I’m also really offended by the name “Indian hot springs.” It’s 2018, why aren’t there mini fridges in the rooms. Also, there isn’t an “intimacy kit” offered, and I’m offended.
  • We have been coming here for the last 17 years and today we saw a large American Cochroach in the women’s locker room scurrying on the floor towards under the shelf. I felt the cost is high for the condition of the establishment. I am sad because This place could be so amazing with the right renovations, cleaning, maintenance and care. I envision a very cool Native American western historically preserved hot springs spa and getaway. I have to admit we were pretty freaked out and may not go back :(
