  • Went out here to try the "hot spring" pool, and should have listened to the other reviews. For 2 people to use the pool and rent a pair of THREADBARE towels that barely wrapped around the body, it was...  read more »
  • The caves are amazing. To be able to soak right INSIDE the mountain... truly unique. In the winter the greenhouse and pool upstairs is awesome. In the summer it is pretty full of families. It's big enough you can still enjoy it but the winter is my favorite, such a treat to be surrounded by green! Note: do not expect a spa. This is a very old and historic spot. It is clean but it is Not new.
  • I was going here all the time then last night I reserved a private outdoor hot tub and was put in a lukewarm hot tub it was so cold! I called the front desk and she came out to meet me to show me a different hot tub as we were walking into the new hot tub area, a maintenance man walks up into the the very small area with a big trash can and rams it right into my knee and he didn't even apologize! He seemed drunk or on drugs. I go here for my knee injuries to heal not to get injured by careless workers. I called the manager "Kelley" the next morning and he asked for a description of the man and then said we don't have anyone working here with that description. ?? Way to be so unprofessional and not take accountability for your employees! I will not return here, anyways the place is old and run down I wish it would be taken over by new management and renovated then I might return.
  • Bad experience! The least of the issues was how crowded it was and the blatant disregard by patrons of the rules for food, but the fact that there was an USED TAMPON right next to the pool on the coping!!!! That’s right – A USED TAMPON!!! What is going on?!?! When the staff was notified, he picked up the tampon, gloved, placed it in the trash, and WITHOUT changing gloves was on his phone, swiping around minutes later. We were not the only people to notice this completely gross event. It totally ruined our (and others) holiday weekend! Three showers later, I now will follow the advice from the property managements postings around the site and “tell us what you think” online!
  • Idaho Springs has a very rustic vibe. They have a great deal to stay and play, check their website and be sure to book in advance. I'd recommend staying away from rooms in the main building as it can be quite noisy and the rooms are very small. Our room didn't have a TV, when it should've (something about their housekeeping staff not reminding them to replace it once they removed the broken set prior to our arrival). There isn't any AC in most of their rooms, be prepared to sleep with your window open. The outdoor private baths are VERY VERY VERY HOT. If you don't enjoy temperatures over 108 in your bath, try the indoor private baths. The pool is indoors, which is nice during the winter.
  • 120 for dinner, hour private bath, pool, and room for two is a great price. The room however was run down, had a weird smell, window wouldn't open, and ac didn't work well. The ladies at the front desk were conesending and didn't seem like they were very interested in helping you or anyone else for that matter. The springs are fun, but I'd recommend staying at the argo inn right down the street and just using the springs separataly.
