  • Besides the permanent exhibits with Idaho themes they have travelling exhibits every few months like the Roman war machines display that we saw there.  more »

  • It is an interesting place to enjoy a couple of hours, we visited the Roma exhibition and was educational and neat. We also delight in the museum regular exhibit. Worth the visit!  more »

  • The MoI is simply spectacular! The exhibit of 1776 made me feel so much pride as an American! What poetic justice that this exhibit served our founding fathers and the men and women who fought to create this country! The exhibit on Rome was remarkable! Getting to see the life size machines was very eye opening. I am excited for the space exhibit. I try to go see all the exhibits! The director is wonderful and even gave our family a personal tour. Simply amazing!!
  • Absolutely amazing! Every travelling exhibit they bring is unique and always well done. And the permanent exhibits are remarkable, I learned so much about the rich history of the area. I took my kids there and they have been BEGGING to go back! Would highly recommend!
  • I love museums like this. I've been to history museums big and small. This is a moderate size and changes the main exhibit a few times a year so.you can go at different times of the year and see something different. They also just changed one of the Idaho exhibits that doesn't change often. If you haven't gone or haven't gone in a while, I say it worth going to. Great for taking family and playing in the interactive kids section.
  • The museum gets some really amazing exhibits that come through. I have seen advertisements for Bodies, Guitars, Carousels, Dinosaurs, Pirates, Rome, and several others. I have been through and seen a few of the exhibits. They attempt to make things good for kids and grown ups. The museum snakes you through the first and second floor to see all sorts of cool things. There is a kids room on the second floor that has more hands-on experiences. To be honest though, it is a bit pricey for Idaho standards, at least in my opinion. And really my favorite part is the re-creation of the town of Idaho Falls a century-plus ago. So adorable!
  • Always have good exhibits. The one on Rome was fascinating. Learned so much I never knew and that you never learn in school.
