  • Eleanor is a National Treasure. Walking thru her real house felt like witnessing history. The wide screen porch where she slept whatever the weather... The mementos and photos of course... Today I visited the 65th st (NYC) Roosevelt home and told our guide how I loved the photograph of Eleanor talking to JFK who came to visit her. "Yes," replied the guide..."he went to see her in September to make sure he had her support (probably what we now term a "photo op").
  • Lovely place; strong, excellent life story.
  • If you are in Hyde Park you must visit Val-Kill. It is a historic home and the tour is very well done.
  • Great national park beautiful buildings with very educational tours
  • Inspiring and beautiful grounds
