  • Surprisingly we had never been here so we finally decided to come. We came for the day to do some hiking and check out the area. We had a great time. There are paddle boats to rent, RV areas, picnic a...  more »

  • Designated swimming area, fishing/boat dock, cabins are really small and could be made better with furniture.... clean restrooms usually, paddle boat and boat rentals and small park store... great place for reunions! Hiking trails are great.... RV sites usually have wood readily available... nice paved roads! Nice play ground for small kids... after visiting other parks in TX this is one of the best!! Lake isn't the prettiest and Rangers need to use a drag net to get the over grown algae out but fishing is pretty good!
  • I've visited this state park a couple of times and definitely enjoyed it. You can go swimming, go camping, rent paddle boats, fish and hike. There are lots of really nice hiking trails to explore. If you're ever in the area I would highly recommend a stop by Lake Raven in Huntsville State Park. Admission for myself for one vehicle (day use) and two adults was $10. It was money well spent. We had a great time! I'll surely come again.
  • Great state park with an excellent fishing or canoeing lake. Over 30 alligator reside in the park, but there are designated swimming area's. So.e camping area's include full hookups while others didn't have sewage. Sites are reasonably level, so be prepared . We will return.
  • So pretty. Everybody pretty much respects nature there's not much trash and the restrooms/showers are clean. The little screened in cabins are adorable and i just can't think of any reason not to come back!
  • Great place to take your wife and kids. Very nice camp sites, beach, paddle boats, canoes, grills with tables nearby, and fishing. It is a beautiful location with trees, rolling hills, and the lake. There is a local store where you can pick up some snacks and bait. I am thankful for our state parks and all Texas does to make them enjoyable. We have seen several youth groups there as well. Go ahead play some volleyball and have a GREAT day.
