  • Attended my nieces wedding. The facilities at Raven's Lodge were wonderful. The setting is beautiful.  more »
  • I have camped here almost every year for the last 5. Its a very easy place to pull up and camp. Its usually pretty quite, and has a few nice touches for an easy weekend camp, like water and fire pit. ...  more »
  • We only spent two nights, but wish we could have stayed longer. This is a great, wooded State Park with so many amenities including a lake for swimming, boating and fishing. We were camped near a fish...  more »

  • Beautiful park... Quiet during the week, packed in the weekend. Hosts are very nice, and there is plenty of security for the family there. We stayed for a week, in our camper, and the weather held out perfect. Wish people would stop feeding the Gators though so they can open the fishing Pier again. Good fishing along Raven lake... Overall had a great time!
  • We've lived in Houston over 5 years and have just found this place. It was a great place for a quick get away weekend. As others have said it is packed on weekends but very nice during the week. Electric hookup sites are the most generous we've encountered in regards to space. And beautifully tree covered. The spots are quite unlevel and can be a challenge for larger trailers and RVs. Need to come prepared with plenty of leveling blocks. That said, it wasn't a problem for us in our simple bumper pull cargo trailer conversion. Trails were nice, could be marked better, but the free maps were accurate and with a little common sense it would be hard to get lost. Hosts were very nice and welcoming and check in process was simple. Only knock was that only 2 out of the 4 shower rooms had working lights. Didn't cause any waits for us but definitely needs to be corrected. Very nice park. Coming from Houston, it was nice to have a bit of elevation change, although those from places with actual elevation won't appreciate it as much.
  • Maintenance leaf blowing before 8 am. I leave city to get away from noise. Pretty hot this time of year. 74° in am. Temp's quickly rise with the sun up into mid 90's in early September. Advise waiting a couple of weeks. No luck fishing off pier. Saw two gators though. The black vultures like the perfume coming from dumpsters. Love my campsite. Beautiful park. Staff friendly and helpful.
  • This is a great place to go hiking. There are plenty of trails to explore the park. The terrain is easy to moderate. We did not go camping but the sites look well kept and are shaded which is a plus for Texas summers.
  • Had a great time on our Bird Watching event today, guided by a super-knowledgeable park ranger. A great time, in a very well maintained park. We look forward to attending more events in the few weeks we have left in TX!
