  • I've come here twice. It was some of the best wine in the area. The tour of the facility is fun and full of wine making Science!
  • I went on a tour of the winery for my friends birthday this past weekend, and it was awesome! Our guide, Joe was so educated on everything about wine and was so cute. The cellar was brand new and would be perfect for a wedding reception. I will definitely go back! It made my best friends birthday one to remember forever.
  • Really nice wines and winery, so recommend you visit
  • My wife and I have been patrons since 2005, when we stumbled upon this place after a visit to Oasis. Back then, the owner used to do the tastings in person on the weekends. I was NEVER charged for a tasting, but I guess things are busier now. Happily, the winery has been tremendously successful, and has grown into what it is today. We joined the wine club a few years ago and have found tremendous value in our membership. This is a family run operation. The children (and there are many of them) work here, and you can meet them, talk to them, and in turn see their little children from time to time. As such, this operation is child friendly, and that's a good thing. People here are friendly. The atmosphere in the tasting room, and the member area is wonderful. There is nothing better than a view of the mountains (regardless of season), and a fine glass of wine. Their wine is OUTSTANDING. Key to their success in my opinion....they plant what works in Virginia. Cab and Merlot....tough to do well in Virginia, so guess what? They don't do it, or they acquire the fruit from a family vineyard in California (where it's not tough to do), and drive it across. The Cab Franc is outstanding. A perfect grape for Virginia. Problem is, there's not enough of it. Do yourself a favor and check this place out. My recommendation, do it during the week, so you really get a personalized experience. This place IS NOT a Barrel Oak, which is set up for the masses, tour buses, and limo circuit. It's a smaller winery, and capacity is what it is, but they've built it up from the original tasting room, which is now the general tasting room. Give this place a shot, and you won't be disappointed.
