  • A wonderful state park. Great place for a nice Spring walk. Beautiful view of the Long Island Sound. Nice hike down to the beach. Saw families riding bikes. Couples walking. Perfect place to visit!  more »
  • After driving along winding roads and what seems like another place, the park appears. Nothing exciting at first glance, until . . . Wow what a view of Long Island sound from the tall bluffs. We visit...  more »
  • I first came here with my 4th grade class in a sleepover trip with beloved teacher Mrs. Botkin from P.S. 205 who had the foresight and wisdom to bring us here circa 1982. What a ball we had - us "city...  more »
  • One of the few places this close to the city where you can take a walk in the woods and be left alone by traffic. Long Island is a horribly planned mess of traffic and sprawl. We could use more places like this. I find the parking fees to be deeply unfair. $8 to enter a State Park that I already have paid for with my 5% NY state income tax. NY state parks should be free for all NY state residents. Welcome to the Vampire State.
  • It's the perfect place for the kids first real bike ride. The trail takes about 30-40 minutes with little kids on bikes. Caumsett features horse stables, a beautiful mansion with great views (you can walk to the lake there), and fun, but not scary hills. They recently finished the walled garden which is full of butterflies. There's plenty of shade on the trail too, so it won't be too hot. It's my favorite place to take the kids.
  • Great for walking and easy riding. Beautiful surrondings including a great beach for walking and smelling the salt water.
  • One of the most beautiful parks in ever see in Long Island New York
  • Nice park for a stroll, nice beach at the end, too bad swimming there is forbidden and there are lots of nasty flies.
