  • I love visiting Caumsett! It's so nice for a solo visit or with family. You can walk around for a couple hours and enjoy wildlife spotting. Visit the horses and the manor and walk the whole loop. It's...  more »

  • My wife and 20 year daughter went to the park on the 1st a crisp day. What a great idea the walk takes you past the houses and down to the beach. We probably walked about 5 miles. Not a difficult walk...  more »

  • One of the few places this close to the city where you can take a walk in the woods and be left alone by traffic. Long Island is a horribly planned mess of traffic and sprawl. We could use more places like this. I find the parking fees to be deeply unfair. $8 to enter a State Park that I already have paid for with my 5% NY state income tax. NY state parks should be free for all NY state residents. Welcome to the Vampire State.
  • It's the perfect place for the kids first real bike ride. The trail takes about 30-40 minutes with little kids on bikes. Caumsett features horse stables, a beautiful mansion with great views (you can walk to the lake there), and fun, but not scary hills. They recently finished the walled garden which is full of butterflies. There's plenty of shade on the trail too, so it won't be too hot. It's my favorite place to take the kids.
  • Great for walking and easy riding. Beautiful surrondings including a great beach for walking and smelling the salt water.
  • One of the most beautiful parks in ever see in Long Island New York
  • Nice park for a stroll, nice beach at the end, too bad swimming there is forbidden and there are lots of nasty flies.
