  • Excellent for walking, hiking. Nice walk down to the beach for fishermen or beachcombing. Can be a little slipper when wet. Great views over LI Sound.
  • A nice destination if you like to hike: not hilly, offers several routes. There is a horse stable to see and a vista of the Long Island Sound at halfway point of your circular excursion. What is missi...  read more »
  • The park is full of hidden gems like the pond and the mansion. Drive to the park was very nice as well.
  • It's the perfect place for the kids first real bike ride. The trail takes about 30-40 minutes with little kids on bikes. Caumsett features horse stables, a beautiful mansion with great views (you can walk to the lake there), and fun, but not scary hills. They recently finished the walled garden which is full of butterflies. There's plenty of shade on the trail too, so it won't be too hot. It's my favorite place to take the kids.
  • This park is gorgeous any time of the year. I love that there are different terrain options to suit different people. There is a great 3 mile paved loop that takes you past some historic structures and gives good views of horses in pasture. There is also a road that is frequented by pedestrians and bicyclists which leads to the beach. From the beach you can walk a ways along the shoreline. It's very relaxing and quiet. You can see Connecticut across the harbor. I try to remember to bring a bag with me to pick up any litter that I might see on the beach. The small things add up! :)
  • I have been coming here for as long as I can remember, and I absolutely love it. Beautiful park, very natural and clean. I don't remember ever seeing a piece of trash here. If you are visiting and like nature, this park is a must see!
  • Beautiful and we'll maintained state park. Well paved roads for walking, running, and biking. As well as trails for hiking. About a 3 miles hike down to the north shore which is rocky but scenic. A couple of beautiful estates worth visiting, can't go in but it's worth a stroll around the garden. Bring sunblock and prepare for the heat during the summer months.
  • Riding the bicycles is amazing n hiking as well especially when you go to the beach side n watch the sunset. Great time with family o a love one.
