  • This is a small Nature Center with a loop trail around a small lake. There are trail guides that correspond to markers around the trail. The trail can flood during inclement weather as the Center is in a natural drainage basin so it is sometimes not possible to make the full loop. The Nature Center is tiny but has a good history of the Huntington Beach area including the mysterious cog stones that have been found throughout the area. Admission is free but the accept donations.
  • Great place to explore nature with my toddler! The paths were just right for her and we used the critter counter sheet to guide our exploration.
  • Shipley Nature is a beautiful place in Central Park. There are butterflies and birds flying all around, squirrels, bunny rabbits, insects and coyotes. Every summer there is a camp here called, Inside the Outdoors and it's amazing. If you have young kids, this is a great place for them to spend their summers.
  • Very nice, packed with school kids.
