  • Very interesting little place. The park is best experienced by dropping in on the historical demonstrations in the forge. It is also a great base for exploring the larger Rothrock State Forest. If you like cold water swimming this is the place for you.
  • Beautiful area. You can play in the water, play on the playground, take a walk around the lake... Fun place to take the whole family
  • Ran my first marathon here amazing views especially when you get to the top of the mountain very challenging hike but sites are amazing peaceful and you can definitely get a lot of great pictures if you are a photographer
  • A quiet and relaxing place for a picnic. Running water in the bathrooms, pavilions (some with electricity), a lake to swim in, history, a walking path, baseball/softball field, fishing, kayaking, OR just sit and watch the day go by!
  • A great hidden gem of a park. The campsites are very large compared to a lot of other state parks.
