  • Phillip Carter Winery is a very nice way to spend an afternoon. There are wine tastings, winery tours and nice outdoor seating to enjoy your wine of choice. Nice folks at the winery to ensure your experience is pleasant.
  • Went for the first time today! The staff was fantastic! Everyone was super nice and very educated in every step of the wine making process! I highly highly highly recommend you stop in!
  • Bypass this winery. Go around the corner to Winding Road cellars. Eric was friendly and knowledgeable at the tasting, but that was the only enjoyable part of the visit. Unless you intend to join their wine club you will not be treated well. I visit at least 15 wineries a year and have not had a bad experience until now. My 110 bottle wine cooler will not be housing any wines from here. Of the 9 wines I tasted only 1 scored above a 6. But even at that the treatment at the "checkout" was revolting.
  • The new manager, Evy, is awesome!!! Amazing hospitality and the 13 Chardonnay was deliciousđŸ˜‹
  • My boyfriend and I planned a new years trip to front royal to hike and do wine tastings. The only reason we gave this winery 2 stars was because he wine was pretty good. We have been to at least 30 vineyards in Virginia and this was by far the worst experience. We arrived at the tasting room and the woman who was doing our tasting came out to the tasting bar while she was on her phone and said to us, "what do you want?" She then rushed through each of the wines, mumbled their descriptions, and did not look at either myself or my boyfriend. She was texting in between our different wine samples. We were very disappointed by the experience since the wines were good. We probably will not go back.
