Fort Revere Park Reviews
Second time stopping here from Canada. The view is absolutely amazing. If it's clear enough you can even see Boston and the other islands around. The fort is all painted with graffiti and there are so... more »

So glad we stopped here, it was very relaxing. The views are beautiful. There is even a little personal bench on top the hill to soak up the sun. Only thing I wish I had was a cup of coffee. more »
Pretty decent park to catch some great views of Hull and the Ocean. Unfortunately, the water tower and officer’s quarters have been closed for years. Additionally, the fort has several pieces of litter and graffiti coats the remnants of the fortifications. DCR, please clean up this park!!!
A mystical place. Full of history. There is much controversy over the graffiti they can't seem to control. Some say the graffiti messages from aliens, that is why even when they post guards they can't catch them. Many people are drawn here, why they don't know. Some say they have received personal messages from the graffiti
Besides all the graffiti...and maybe because of some of it...the place not only had a historical value, but also as a photographer - an artistic one. Not that tagging is approproate in the criminal sense, however majority is NOT offensive or criminal here either - which makes you see the beauty in some of it! Others look like disrespectful kids doing what they wanted where they wanted...but some are extremely artistic &/or add to they mystique & eerrie air that surrounds & envelopes this place as is...once you step down into the fort area - the grounds are peaceful during the daytime, but many shows have come to the area to try to catch paranormal activity, where much energy & emotions were felt & experienced by everyone that was here - and possibly STILL ARE! This place is very historical & old, as stated before...and for those into history, to find this literally in someone's back yard...but with the markings & stories to tell you what happened here and why. Therr are great plaques to help you understand the history of yhe towrr &. Some of the areas of the fort & what its purpose was. Some believe the place to be haunted, which I myself wouldn't be surprised...you can't have that much historical pentup energy in one place for so long, without having some left behind. After many passionate years of love & protection of one's life, land & harbor of country - it has to hold some pieces of past that are bound to echo throughout time....whether we are open to hear, see, or receive those messages - that's to each individual to decide for themselves. If you are open, you may delve a little deeper than most into the historical past that Fort Revere is known for...and experience It (and them) - for yoirself! It is a great place with scenic views of the area also....something for everyone! And doesn't cost a cent...parking is free....and it is easy to get to - not far off the beaten path for those that live &/or vacationing in the Boston, Hingham, Hull, Cohasset & surrounding areas all the way down to the Cape....tucked behind the historical cemetary & containing some of those that may have been at Fort Revere...judt down the street from the Library & Hull High School! And if you are into history - it's well worth the trip, to experience this place for yourself & learn a little more about something you thought you knew all about.....but maybe really DIDN'T!
One of my favorite spots to visit when in Hull, MA aka Nantasket Beach. Set high high upon a hill overlooking Boston lighthouse. Graves light and Minot light can be seen a clear day.
Great park. The fort ruins FASCINATED me. Graffiti, while morally questionable, was incredible to look at. It was very immersive and lots of it was very interesting. I think this is the best way to see what the youth generation is thinking.
