  • Beach was fun to walk and metal detect. Didn't find anything exciting, but the kids had a good time looking at rocks and shells. Bathrooms were clean. The scenery was pretty.  more »

  • Pretty place. They put on an excellent firework show for 4th of July.
  • I love this park. I have enjoyed it now for 16 years. I especially enjoy walking the paved trail and taking pictures of wildlife - see my butterfly pictures at the Nature Center. I am very disappointed in the decision this year to charge a "pecan-picking permit". Please beware that there is a $15/day permit required to pick up pecans as per multiple signs posted all over the park, especially around the golf course. I feel this will reflect poor PR for the management of the park. I have watched as every year many seniors come to pick up pecans. They usually stay only a couple of hours and do not interfere with golfers. I myself come after work when most golfers are finished for the day. Whatever the reasons, this will only hurt the park's reputation.
  • We had a great time! Spent three nights in the Choctaw camp ground right beside the lake. Beautiful views and plenty of space at each site! The only problem was the abundance of ticks this year. Otherwise everything was great!
  • The tall pines that line the road and trails make me feel like I am in another state. It does put me in another state of mind!! And only an hour from Tulsa.
  • One of my great memories vacationing here with my family when we were raising my children very great memories
