  • Very nice place to visite and to enjoy few beers with freinds. A place to not miss for sure! We'll be back!
  • A craft brewery - a short talk and walk round with an enthusiast(!) together with lunch and some excellent beers made a really good half day visit. The place does take a little finding but is clearly ...  read more »
  • I've gone here many times in the past. They always had a lot of good brew and a fantastic atmosphere. Walking up the the building doors always reminded me of Willy Wonkas chocolate factory... Except b...  read more »
  • I just had the most amazing lunch today. Today's special consisted of jerk chicken, collard greens, coconut rice and toasted plantains with pineapple sour cream. Also, the side salad consisted of Spring Greens with Blueberries, Apples, Toasted Hazelnuts, Blue Cheese and Blueberry Mint Vinaigrette. Probably the best lunch I've had here as of yet. $20 you get a two-course meal and open Taps until 2 p.m. Excellent price for an excellent lunch and even more exceptional beer!
  • Where to begin? Probably the coolest setting for a brewery. Vintage, revitalized, recycled... Whatever you want to call it will work. The place has a REAL beer hall. German-style. Beers are phenomenal. Staff are friendly and enjoy watching Top Gun which is a win in my book. Best brewery in Houston. Go here.
  • Great beer hall and tour. Their Master Brewer was fantastic to talk with and I learned a lot. While I don't like their mainstream offerings, their specialty and seasonal beers are the best.
  • I love trying different types of beers, especially the craft beers, and St Arnold's is one of the oldest in Houston. Just like the other breweries in town, they have the token system, and even the package of buying the souvenir glass with some beer tokens. At St Arnold's you can get the 8oz souvenir glass and 4 beer tokens for $10. Not a bad deal, but I do with they offered the standard sized beer glass, I wouldn't even mind paying slightly more for it. They do also offer food, but keep in mind the kitchen closes at around 4pm and opens up again at 5:30pm (on Friday anyways). We didn't know so we were out of luck on food around 4 and that's how we found out. The beer is delicious and there are different types of beers for those who prefer one type over another. The food looked good, even if on the pricey side, but maybe I'll get a chance to try it next time. They have a beer hall as opposed to the beer garden at the other places. This is great for hot summer days, but they do need more seating inside the hall, and I can see how they get packed pretty easy on the weekends. We did the tour, which really is just some historical info and a trip downstairs to where everything is processed. Still pretty cool and worthwhile at least once. The staff is friendly, but the place could use a little regular cleaning up. The floors were sticky around the standing tables, and some of the seating areas needed some wiping down as well. Overall I had a great experience, and it's pretty cool that you can bring your own food and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • I have to say this, going on a Saturday is kind of a nightmare. Place gets packed very quickly, there is almost no where to park, and the lines for beer can be brutal. Go during the week when they offer delicious lunch or go on Friday's for their pub nights and enjoy the laid back atmosphere with limited release beer offerings. Not all of the beers will be winners to everyone but they offer enough variety and some truly spectacular beers to make everyone happy. There is a reason Saint Arnold Brewing Co. is the oldest craft beer in Texas and continues to be so popular.
