Houston Center for Contemporary Craft (HCCC) is a nonprofit arts organization founded to advance education about the process, product and history of craft. Visitors enjoy viewing innovative exhibitions, talking with artists-in-residence, creating their own craft objects in workshops, and shopping for one-of-a-kind gifts and home décor in the Asher Gallery. Admission is free. This is near the museum district, but is kind of off the radar of many people. Look it up and give them a visit. That exhibits change several times a year, and are always excellent.

Awesome! They feature locally made arts and crafts. The shop is amazing, lots of choice! And the entrance is free
Cool stuff in there. Plus the hands on stuff is great.

Stop in for each artist show rotation. Take it in, and enjoy the presentations. Small place, but worth the visit.
