  • First, get someone to describe the building. The architect did an amazing job. The exhibition was interesting. It also is a great place to have a meeting or a reception.  more »
  • Great place to take visitors and local friends too. It's always interesting especially when they have an exhibit or a tour guide. The building is both laid back and spectacular.  more »
  • This center is a beautiful and peaceful place. I went to see an exhibit of bamboo art. The exhibit was amazing. This was my first visit to this facility. I loved the floor to ceiling windows looking o...  more »

  • We have always heard nothing but positive reviews about this place and passed by it several times in the past. Finally made a visit almost on a whim and could not have been happier with the impressive quality in both the magnificent architecture of the building and the excellence of the exhibits (at the time of our visit, it was Wondrous World - Art & Islam through Time and Space). We highly recommend everyone to visit here. If for nothing else, sitting by and looking out at the fountain patio (pictured) upstairs alone is well worth the tranquil and mindful atmosphere this place so successfully represent.
  • I love this place. It has performances and festivals all centered in Asian cultures. The facility is immaculate. The architecture is super modern and futuristic. I may be a little old fashioned. I felt very content and I want to visit Asia Society more often. Yes, I got my membership and I'll be back.
  • We had a wonderful tour of the building architecture and the bamboo exhibit today. The docent was highly knowledgeable and the exhibits were amazing.
  • The yoga class on Tuesday led by Roshmi is held is a wonderfully tranquil space. I would recommend a visit to anyone
  • Intimate, quiet, meditative space currently hosting a remarkable bamboo craft exhibition. A 2014 local AIA architectural award winner.

Where to stay in Houston

If you come to Houston to splurge while on holiday, book a luxurious room at a downtown hotel. This area is an ideal base for getting to know Houston, offering you a chance to stay within walking distance of one of the country's largest theater districts. Houston bills itself as the "Energy Capital of the World," so it's no surprise that it houses many "green" hotels, their garages designed to cater to electric vehicle owners. For something completely different, enjoy a Texas country experience at a working ranch outside the city limits.
