Hot Springs Mountain Tower, Hot Springs
(4.1/5 based on 900+ reviews on the web)
Take in a sweeping view of Hot Springs National Park and the Ouachita Mountains from the top of Hot Springs Mountain Tower. Give yourself a workout by climbing the steps of this 66 m (216 ft) tower, or opt for the more direct, less strenuous route via elevator. The observation level has an enclosed area as well as an open-air one, so you should be comfortable no matter the weather. Do be careful of wasps during warmer seasons, though, if you opt to take the stairs. To visit Hot Springs Mountain Tower and other attractions in Hot Springs, use our Hot Springs vacation generator.

  • Saw this tower thing and had to go see what it was. If you're not paying attention you'll miss the entrance to the "driveway." I call it a driveway because thankfully it's one way up and one way down. It's a fun drive up. The drive down is just as fun. Switchbacks galore! The gift shop at the base is very nice. All things you could ever want to help you remember your visit. Now I'm not one for heights and the idea of a glass walled elevator is not something I care for, so on the way up I faced the door. Yup, class A chicken here. Once on the top I really enjoyed the view. Looking down on the Hot Springs Central Avenue and all the hotels/bathhouses was spectacular. There was rain moving in from the west and that just added to the beauty. Bottom line - this needs to be on your list of places to experience when in Hot Springs.
  • The view is spectacular !! You have to see it. It is close to downtown Hot Springs and you can walk up to it if you want. It is not to miss. Dean
  • The view is amazing!!! A must if you visit Hot Springs. Well worth your time to make either the hike or short drive up to the tower. It is a bit windy but not too bad. Not sure if it was the time of year (first week of July) but we didn't see wasps like others have posted.
  • Peaceful. Toward the sky. Just. Very beautiful. Took my children. Up. Very. Very nice visit. Relaxing. And nice get away
  • A visit up the tower was fantastic...lots of history here... Love it.
