Observation Deck Tourist Spot
Take in a sweeping view of Hot Springs National Park and the Ouachita Mountains from the top of Hot Springs Mountain Tower. Give yourself a workout by climbing the steps of this 66 m (216 ft) tower, or opt for the more direct, less strenuous route via elevator. The observation level has an enclosed area as well as an open-air one, so you should be comfortable no matter the weather. Do be careful of wasps during warmer seasons, though, if you opt to take the stairs. To visit Hot Springs Mountain Tower and other attractions in Hot Springs, use our Hot Springs vacation generator.

  • QUICK elevator ride in the tower. Nice view. Really good gift shop. Looked like a good hike to the top but we drove.  more »
  • We drove up the winding road to the tower. We took the elevator up to the top (3rd) floor and viewed the Hot Springs area from the outside tower top. Once there you can stay as long as you like, relax...  more »
  • I remember going here when I was little. It's a great time waster. We went while waiting for magic springs to open. The kids thought it was great. It was also affordable.  more »

  • It is always fun to visit the tower when in Hot Springs. It costs $6 a person to go up the tower. You can see great views of the city from atop the tower. They have a gift shop with snacks and great gifts!
  • Hot Springs Tower is in Hot Springs National Park. In HS, Arkansas. It is a beautiful windy drive to the top of the mountain and from the tower you can see all of the valley. From the other side you can see all of Hot Springs. The entrance to the tower is in Hot Springs just around the corner from the famous bathhouses and Arlington Hotel.
  • Beautiful views from the 3rd floor and very complete information about Hot Springs on the 2nd floor. Given the high entry cost, one would expect for the facilities to be maintained in a much better state. There are no issues with safety. However, the elevators can be upgraded, the 3rd floor landing can be painted, the wooden benches there can be painted or changed, the 2nd floor carpets can be changed, etc. The whole place has a "tired" feel to it. What has been changed is the store on the ground floor. It's a lot more crowded with "stuff" now and less pleasant to walk around in, although the items for sale seem a little more interesting than the selection they had previously.
  • We walked up the hill instead of driving. It was not an easy hike. The view was great!
  • It's mildly interesting but worth a visit only if you have time to spare. I didn't climb the tower because (a) there's a charge (fair enough) and (b) the view is much the same from the gazebo adjacent to the parking lot, i.e., not much.
