Hot Springs Mountain Tower, Hot Springs

4.1
Take in a sweeping view of Hot Springs National Park and the Ouachita Mountains from the top of Hot Springs Mountain Tower. Give yourself a workout by climbing the steps of this 66 m (216 ft) tower, or opt for the more direct, less strenuous route via elevator. The observation level has an enclosed area as well as an open-air one, so you should be comfortable no matter the weather. Do be careful of wasps during warmer seasons, though, if you opt to take the stairs. • Elevator was broken. Set my apple watch to stair climber and met my weekly goal all the way to the top. The 21 story climb was worth every step. The history of Hot Springs is well documented and laid ...  more »
  • When our family visited in January 2018, it was only about 6 degrees Farenheit. The elevator was closed and we felt the cost per person was pretty high to hike up those many flights of stairs out in t...  more »
  • We hiked to the top! Great fun and worth it! The view of the area from the top is great. Beware of the gift shop.  more »

  • Very cool place tho visit. If you are here anyway you need to walk or drive up here. The walking trail is short but very hard to do if you are not in shape. The views are amazing. This really is a great part of the trip. When you are at the top you can take an elevator to the observer deck.
  • First off, this thing cost $8 a person to visit and get to the top. Not really worth 8 bucks. I'd say it's worth like 3 bucks. We took the steps to the top. It was fun and a bit scarey climbing to the top on the steps. The top is sort of a museum. Interesting but I feel like it could have been better. The tower is in the park, but ran by an outside interest. That shows because you have to walk through a gift shop on the way in and the way out. The ride up the mountain to the tower is way better than the tower itself.
  • Beautiful view and clear day. Nice little gift shop with friendly staff. You can explore surrounding trails or just chill and enjoy the view. It's a good short little stop wasn't too crowded either which is really nice.
  • A nice tourist location with a well stocked gift shop. It costs $6.50 to go to the top, and you can take either the stairs or elevator. Just know that when you get to the “top” floor where all the exhibits are, there’s one more flight of stairs to the very top to see a relatively unobstructed view.
  • A beautiful National Park, great scenery. Great place for a day hike. There’s handicap parking and entrance at the observation tower. Gift shop available.
