  • Tour guide was excellent ! He answered a lot of questions. He took his time to point out the unique aspects along the tour. Would recommend this for families with children over 10.
  • Had an absolute blast! Our tour guide John was fun and energetic! Explained everything we were looking at very well. Lots of fun jabs to the tourist and about the cave itself. He again helped us out w...  more »
  • This was the first stop of many on our 3 day trip to the Mammoth Cave area. We were there as soon as the door opened, with 3 kids, and the staff could not have been more friendly. We spent some time i...  more »

  • We stopped at the Hidden River Cave by chance when getting gas on our way back to Florida. We were informed that part of the cave was flooded and the tour would shortened. After paying for 4 adults and 3 children we were told to take a tour of the museum. It was muggy and foul smelling, with a limited amount of displays that only half worked. After waiting nearly an hour for our tour we were crammed into a small elevator with a half dozen others. We were then escorted down 150 narrow and slippery stairs into the mouth of the cave. This is were the tour ended as the entire cave was flooded not a portion as we were originally informed. It was a waste of both time and money. The tour guide talked about all the great plans they have for the cave in the future using the money they obtain from swindling tourist as they are duped into paying for the sorriest excuse for a cave tour. I would not recommend going to Hidden River Cave unless you have an excess of time and money to pointlessly throw away.
  • The cave tour was nice but not very long. They tried to send us on a tour with at least 30 other people(there were 6 of us!) to one guide, so we chose to do the zipline first, after waiting in the museum for over hour. The zipline, while fun, was very short. So not quite what I was expecting for the price. I might go back if they add more to the tour.
  • The cave tour was a little short but the cave was very cool. The guide gave us a good amount of history too. There is a longer tour and zip lining. The museum us very small but has some interesting exhibits.
  • Hannah was the cave guide for my group. She was extremely knowledgeable, kind, patient and up beat. She then followed my husband and I to repel and do the zip line along with 2 other guides, David and Maria I think. They were all super great, patient and hilarious. I can't wait to come back and do the adventure tour!
  • Two friends and I went for a wild cave tour over Memorial Day weekend. We rode from Maryland for this and it was absolutely worth it! The staff that greeted us were all friendly and our guide was fun and knowledgeable. The wild cave tour was a real caving experience with out any of the tourist crap; exactly what we were looking for. If you're ready to get muddy and actually explore a cave system then the wild cave tour here is the thing for you.
