  • The Alabama Safari Park is a lot of fun. It was a treat for us to visit. It is much larger than expected. My only regret is that we only purchased 1 bucket of food for $4.00. In retrospect, 2 would ha...  more »

  • This has to be the best one we've been to yet! The animals have an abundance of space to roam. Some interact while others just seem to hang out. Plan to drop $100 easy here but it's money well spent and a great experience. The Budgies were awesome, we spent almost an hour the aviary. The property looks very well taken care of and you can tell they have spent a ton of money and time to take care of these animals. We saw so many fox squirrels which was absolutely awesome.
  • A neat place to blow a couple of hours. If you ever wanted to see llama's, they have them in spades. Lots of llama's. A few zebra and some really cool big Horn type of cattle. Mean emu's and nice ostrich. Pretty cool place. Definitely worth a stop. Kids love it.
  • Loved visiting this drive thru animal park. Located just off interstate 65, this treasure is an animal lovers great day! Priced right for everyone to enjoy. The animals provide hours of fascination and enjoyment. There is also a giraffe petting/feeding station, petting zoo, Budgie feeding aviary, and gift shop. Restrooms are a travel trailer behind the gift shop, and 3/4 stairs are required to be climbed to use the restroom facilities. Aside from the restroom facilities being non-handicapped friendly, this park is a real pleasure. My recommendation would be to make restrooms ground level and handicapped capable as well as expanding the gift shop merchandise to more clothing with park logo. V neck T-shirt’s, magnets, ornaments, post cards/sets of post cards featuring park logo and animals. Make the trip and make the kids and animal lovers very happy!
  • We really enjoyed the Safari Park. My three year old learned fun facts about each animal. We enjoyed interacting with the animals. It's so cool being able to drive around as many times as you like. The petting zoo has enough space for animals too move comfortably. Try going earlier in the day so you can experience the animals being alert. We went late in the evening, so most of the animals were resting. Alabama Safari Park had very clean restrooms and a nice gift shop. Expect to at least $80 for a family of four. It's a great place to go for a nice and relaxing putting with the family.
  • This place was pretty neat. 1st ride through they give you 2 buckets of feed. After that they charge per bucket. I wish they would've had more variety of animals... its mostly llamas. The camel was the first animal to walk up to the car and it became a wrestling match as he took my entire bucket of feed out of my hands even though I fought him for it! I think they should warn you about him because for the rest of the ride I couldn't feed any animals and had to sit steaming as the camel slung my full bucket of feed all over the ground and continued to chomp the bucket while watching me as if to gloat over his victory.đŸ˜  I held a grudge against him the rest of the ride. Then a buffalo rammed our car in a fit of anger when we didn't give him any more food. Luckily he didn't do it hard and left no dents. The kids had a blast though, laughing hysterically at the animals charging our car trying to rip food out of our hands. I enjoyed feeding the giraffes ( a more gental animal then the camel ). If you want a feeding frenzy, go early - as they are full towards the afternoon and could care less about you.
