  • What a gem! I am surprised that more people don't know about this wonderful oasis. We took my 6 year old autistic son here for his birthday. The staff was wonderful and very understanding. The bathrooms and locker rooms were clean. The pool was a perfect 98°. I can't wait to go back this winter when it's cool out and swim in the warm pool with the chilli air. There is a little slide for the children that my son couldn't get enough of. They have a cafe and the food is a little pricey but very tasty. I highly recommend visiting them.
  • We stayed at the RV park and bought a punch card for the pool so we could use it while we were there. The RV park is decent, but only offers water and electricity. You have to use a central dump for sewage. No 50amp hookups, only 30amps. The water feed is warm/hot water which can be nice or bothersome depending on your needs. The sites are nice looking and the grounds include a lot of critters (rabbits, fish, ducks, frogs) that live in and around warm water ponds they created. Clean restrooms and a nice laundry room. The price was about on par with the accommodations. The pool is nice. Warm water year round. Deep enough to dive, big enough for laps and a play area. Also a kiddie pool and an 15+ therapy pool. (think giant spring fed hot tub). They have a snack shop with a great selection and a grill that serves a wide range of fast food options. For the price, I found it to be very good fast food, not gourmet but tasty and well prepared. Our Highlight was the Greenhouse, an adults only pool area with multiple hot tubs, a small sauna, and a long narrow lounging pool. It includes a full bar and you can order food from the grille as well. Super relaxing environment, especially in the evening. Once we tried it we spent nearly every night here. Rates on the pool are reasonable and if you stay in the RV park you get half off.
  • If you need to relax after being on a road trip this is the place to go. Its in the Middle of a Natural preserve just 35 minutes from the San Dunes National Park. The Hooper pool is reasonable in price ( just get the 3 month pass) has an adult section only . ( This is a clothed pool, no nakedness) The adult section is 21 and up, you are allowed 3 alcoholic libations. There are three large pools varying in temp from 98-112F and a long pool with a water fall. It has a nice viewing deck outside when the heat gets too much. Free Wifi. And they sell Local organic eggs at their grill. Come for an hour, or stay the day. They are dog friendly as long as your pooch is well behaved. Camp, RV or tent is welcome. Don't forget your googles for the BIG ten foot deep Olympic pool!
  • After a day sandboarding and the Great Sand Dunes, I relaxed here at the Sand Dunes Swimming Pool. I really enjoyed myself. The pool offers a student discount with proof of id. There is a wide variety of decent food available. The facility is clean and there are mountains visible in the distance. There are two diving boards at varying heights as well as a basketball hoop. For guests 21 and older, there is a bar called The Greenhouse where you can enjoy some time. I look forward to visiting again.
  • The outdoor pool is great! Plenty of outdoor seating, barbecue grills, a few picnic tables, volleyball net and basketball court. Only rated it 4 stars due to unfriendly cashier at the door, answering questions was not something she wanted to be bothered with. Otherwise the in house cafe is great and there food is priced well and delicious.
