  • Visited to go wine tasting and found some varietals that I normally wouldn't choose. Their wines are a little pricey, and it was cold in there (bring a sweater), but knowledgeable staff.
  • Whenever we're in Hood River, even if we're just passing though, we always stop by for some wine and hard cider tasting! We often bring out of town guests here when giving them the tour of our favorit...  more »
  • The Gorge White House is a nice old building. Owners cater to the wine tourists. Other attractions, but when I was there I was never asked if someone could help me. Did find my favorite Cabernet Creek...  more »

  • The Gorge White House deserves national recognition or something. We happened to be driving through and had the wonderful chance to go here.. and I can't believe we wouldve missed it otherwise! All the flowers were beautiful, the ciders were all delicious, and the food options weren't bad either. So much love for the people that work to upkeep such a beautiful place, bravo.
  • My hubby and I stopped here to sample ciders, they tasted great! Also a nice place for kids to run around and pick fruit. Definitely a must-see if your driving the fruit loop!
  • Cruised the fruit loop three times over the weekend and The Gorge White House was our favorite stop (twice)! Breathtaking scenery, lots to do whether berry picking, building a beautiful flower bouquet, sampling cider or wine tasting, taking in the beauty of the 100 year old White House or enjoying a delicious lunch made from produce grown before your eyes! The best burger I've ever had was at the gorge White House cafe! This charming little stop is a keeper and I hope to visit again and again!
  • Beautiful scenery and great coder beer. Not a lot more to be required for a great day. There is ample seating and parking, though at times you can't tell whether or not your parking on someone's lawn. The cider is isn't obnoxiously expensive either, which is surprising for a destination such as this. There are wildflowers to cut or to just walk among and appreciate. It's a nice family spot that is dog friendly as well. The one downside I have of the place is the fact there are only two toilets. Lines for the bathroom can get long. Maybe adding some outhouses would be the best thing to do.
  • Picked fresh fruit and then went into this adorable house and sampled wine. Sampled five kinds of wine at no cost. They had many unique varieties of wine to buy and a knowledgeable server. Enjoyable little stop on The Fruit Loop.
