Where to stay in Honolulu

Most of Honolulu's luxury hotels and oceanfront condos are located in Waikiki, the city's most popular neighborhood. Staying in this area keeps you within walking distance of one of the world's finest beaches, but it also means paying a bundle for your room and board. To avoid high rates and big crowds, consider the budget hotels outside Waikiki's busiest areas. Smaller hotels just a short drive from the city's beaches offer comfortable rooms and good food at a fraction of the price of their Waikiki equivalents.

  • I stopped by Kings Village when their outdoor market was taking place. It was nice seeing the different food options available as I walked through. Seemed like a lot of people were coming and going.
  • When the shops are open its much more interesting. There very easy to miss unless you know there there. There's very Many lil shops between and behind these to restaurants.
  • I am very disappointed that my 5yr old need to go the bathroom and no one would help.... There own security guard said there was no bathroom.
  • A quaint old shopping area. Sadly this place is in decline. There are a lot of empty shops and those that remain don't seem to be doing much business. The Kings Guards no longer parade in the evening although there is a museum to commemorate them. There is a good farmers market on site a couple of times a week - some great food. It will probably be torn down and replaced by another tacky mall or condo development. What a crying shame !
  • Great place to eat, shop! You have to go to Island Rock Cafe Olds but Goodys Foods ONO,broke the mouth . also check out the pizza party.
