The company caters to all ages and levels, with instructors teaching the basics or helping you to hone your advanced skills. Every lesson begins with ocean safety and awareness. These passionate guides go beyond the basics of the sport, teaching you how to read the waves and outlining proper wave-riding etiquette. In addition to private and semi-private surf lessons, the company offers paddle boarding lessons and active tours of the north and east shores of the island. Opt to have a photographer take some action shots of you surfing so you'll have proof of riding the waves. • Awesome. Staff were super friendly and took great care of us, big thanks to Neil for helping us catch our first waves! Would 100% recommend.
  • Awesome staff, very knowledgeable and can find you a nice quiet break. We had Trevor and had a blast, the 2 hours flew by.
  • Excellent surf school, supa friendly staff, made me feel very comfortable out in the water. You will be standing up first lesson for sure! A big bonus I thought was the fact that they take you out to what seemed to be a quieter break (by comparison to the mega crowds closer to shore).
  • Excellent team, coaches are exceptional, they made us feel comfortable and passionately taught surfing to kids. My children did great in just one session and they wanted to go back to the classes again.

Where to stay in Honolulu

Most of Honolulu's luxury hotels and oceanfront condos are located in Waikiki, the city's most popular neighborhood. Staying in this area keeps you within walking distance of one of the world's finest beaches, but it also means paying a bundle for your room and board. To avoid high rates and big crowds, consider the budget hotels outside Waikiki's busiest areas. Smaller hotels just a short drive from the city's beaches offer comfortable rooms and good food at a fraction of the price of their Waikiki equivalents.
