  • This is a very well-kept botanical garden with trees from all over the world, orchids, flowers, butterflies and more. It was quite lovely. It is also next to a Buddhist temple which they are happy to ...  more »
  • Wonderfully close to downtown Honolulu, easy to get to. Small garden that is well looked after and cared for. Nice range of plants and local history. Really enjoyed my visit here. Orchids were a treat...  more »
  • Well worth $5 entrance fee. You can see lots of exotic trees and the size of some is simply amazing. They also have an orchid exhibit. A nice place to take some quiet time in bubbly Honolulu.  more »

  • Wonderful Spot in the Heart of Honolulu! Although there are larger botanical gardens in Oahu, Foster is a treasure every time we visit. The staff is always helpful and the grounds are easy to navigate. I enjoy sitting on a bench and taking in the beauty. Off street parking is usually available and we usually bring a lunch to enjoy at the picnic tables near parking.
  • I just loved the oasis in the middle of Honolulu. There were so many beautiful and well established plants and trees in the gardens. The gardens are more than just plants but a sort of history of the different plantings and people involved in preserving this special place. There are interesting botanical gardens around the world but here there are plants that seem quite unique coming from different tropical locations...The cannon ball tree, the sausage tree and lots of orchids, plumeria and more. The location is such that it is easy to get there by public transit (The Bus) if you don't feel like driving or if you are a tourist and don't want to rent a car. Well worth a visit. I first visited in 1973 and have been back many times.
  • A very nice collection of both local and non-native trees and flowers. The corpse flower was fascinating. The garden is well laid out and decently labeled. The only thing I would have wished for was either less mud or a good place to wash it off.
  • The lands, indigenous plants, trees, flowers and birds at Foster Botanical Gardens are an absolute must see. $5 entrance for non-residents, $3 for residents. This tranquil garden is perfect for a long day relaxation for a bit of peace and serenity, or a quick refill of nature. Be sure to kick your shoes off and enjoy a lovely stroll throug these wonderfully preserved, magnificent gardens. Enjoy!!
  • It was fun. Great day for checking out the corpse flowern and taking the kids walking around. They had fun usong the map and checking off the numbered plants/trees. It was worth the very affordable entry price.
