  • Petty good market place where you can haggle for the better price the only thing is it's pretty repetitive.prices are reasonable if what you are looking for are affordable souvenirs
  • Great flee market experience. Be prepared to barter. Must visit for cheap gifts.
  • If you're the type of person that enjoys kitschy made in China souvenirs that you can find at the airport but you need to barter for then go right ahead. This was a great experience it was fun seeing all the merchants but I would never buy anything here. If you do I recommend starting at about half of what they're asking and then go from there. I was offered sometimes $100 less for the same item that my wife was at one stand. Interesting place to visit nonetheless
  • Nice. Reminded me of the old International Marketplace that's now nothing more than another typical mall catering to the pretentious shoppers willing to pay for pretentious brand names.
  • It is fun to barter with the merchants over stuff you really don't need, hats, t-shirts etc. If their asking price seems high, you can usually get them down to about half of what they started. No high end merchandise.

Where to stay in Honolulu

Most of Honolulu's luxury hotels and oceanfront condos are located in Waikiki, the city's most popular neighborhood. Staying in this area keeps you within walking distance of one of the world's finest beaches, but it also means paying a bundle for your room and board. To avoid high rates and big crowds, consider the budget hotels outside Waikiki's busiest areas. Smaller hotels just a short drive from the city's beaches offer comfortable rooms and good food at a fraction of the price of their Waikiki equivalents.
