  • It is a children's Indoor playground. One of them feels "adult" and if the weather's bad, maybe good but dark, flat playground there, is the eldest of the 3-year-old happily playing there. Play more physical activity, work experience, shop the wide variety of educational toys, kids did not satisfy.

  • not so popular for holiday, but our kids enjoy this place a lot! cooking counter was the place where our 2 and 3 years old kiddos spent a lot! some learning experience for the kids too.  more »
  • Most Japanese do not. You can feel thoroughly abroad while in Hawaii. Where children schoolchildren in Japan from opening until closing time children play. Locations from Hawaii tipped by as much as $ 13. Even come close to being out of The bus, so knowing the map. But the price is a bit high. 1 years or more was going up on the adult uniform including $ 12. On weekdays from 9 am until 1 pm (weekend until 15). It was while thinking of kids who want to play and want to play more and end up. So you can enjoy. Most taxi did not come back, so I walked to the bus stop nearby.

  • Loved the place, so did my 2 year old. Not enough time to do everything which is great because you will not get bored ever. If your child was bored (one of the reviews), I am sorry but that is your child having a problem...not this place. Or maybe the child was too old for this (I recommend ages 2-5). Cafe has limited healthy options and reasonable prices. Membership is worth it if you go once a month at least. Parking is free. I found this easy to find with GPS. I also thought it was neat and clean....did notice that staff is NOT smiling. Cheer up...it is a childrens place staff!!!
  • Great place to bring small children ages 2-8. Plenty of activities and hands on exhibits. The water room was great with many intricate details very cool. Expect to spend an hour in the water room minimum. The water room does close one hour before the museum so make sure you account for that. The other first floor rooms are great. There is a gem hidden upstairs with a ship for the Kids to play on, a Hawaiian airlines plane and a small village with various dwellings from around the pacific. Definitely enough in this place for multiple visits.
  • Brought my daughter here. $10 a person so $30 for the wife and daughter and I. You can spend the entire day there so it's worth it if you do. Tons of activities inside for the little ones. My daughter absolutely loved it. One problem is that it's in the area where there is literally a homeless city. tons of them in the area. Do not leave any belongings in your car as they break into cars often in the area.
  • The Discovery Center is a nice place for kids to explore. It is great for school field trip. Kids learn and play best with their friends (not necessary with parents:( Nevertheless, I enjoy the wheelchair ramp, inside da mouth exhibit and the old time role stations where kids can play dress up.
  • I wish I could rate this more stars...this place is a disappointment for me. When I went there were a lot of homeless camps and a whole section was closed off. It was dirty and really stinky as well..they just need to remove some of the play/exhibit areas and update them. My daughter really enjoyed the reading area and the outside water area. The rest was not that great and had very few items for children to share with. I wish Hawaii could give more to this place or use the admission money to update and clean more. I'm from Houston so I have pretty high standards but there wasn't anything really educational about this area either. I really hope they make some changes in the near future.

Where to stay in Honolulu

Most of Honolulu's luxury hotels and oceanfront condos are located in Waikiki, the city's most popular neighborhood. Staying in this area keeps you within walking distance of one of the world's finest beaches, but it also means paying a bundle for your room and board. To avoid high rates and big crowds, consider the budget hotels outside Waikiki's busiest areas. Smaller hotels just a short drive from the city's beaches offer comfortable rooms and good food at a fraction of the price of their Waikiki equivalents.
