Homestead Miami Speedway, Homestead

4.6
The Speedway has been open since 1995 following an initiative to spur economic recovery in the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew. The 640-acre facility is active more than 280 days per year and hosts NASCAR’s Championship Races during Ford Championship Weekend (November 16-18, 2012). The Sprint Cup Championship Ford 400 is broadcast live on TV and radio to 175 countries and into 24 languages. The 2011 championship attracted ESPN Television’s largest NASCAR Sprint Cup viewership ever with a peak audience of 10.5 million when the checkered flag fell. Homestead-Miami Speedway, featuring a 1.5-mile oval and 2.21-mile road course, generates more than $250 million annually for the region.

Homestead-Miami Speedway continues its rich history of sports car racing in 2012 when the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series returns to South Florida’s road course. The Grand Prix of Miami, set for April 27-29, features Daytona Prototypes and Grand Touring classes in Race 3 of the 2012 GRAND-AM campaign. • This is a place for NASCAR and auto racing enthusiasts. The parking areas are vast, but poorly marked when trying to find your vehicle in the dark. A tram is available, which is fairly efficient. Ther...  more »
  • We were able to go in and see the track and surrounding area. We were disappointed that we had not gotten there during a time when we could ride along in the cars.  more »
  • Took in the Championship Race. The track has lots of pre race and post race entertainment. Bellator held a free event with Rampage and Hendo in attendance. The pit pass is like no other race track, yo...  more »

  • My family and I came out to the race track. For Fast Lane Friday. The first Friday of every month. They provide a safe place for people to come and race at a reasonable price it's fun to come out and watch it's open from 6 p.m. to midnight it's a nice way to spend some time with the family and have fun too
  • Took my better half for the NASCAR Experience here. What an amazing thing to do! The staff here acted just as excited as we were for our experience and we're very helpful. I wish you remember the instructors name who took us in for our classroom experience because he was incredible! I want all in all this is a bucket list item that everyone should fulfill because it Homestead it's extremely affordable.
  • There is always something going on here. The big weekend is right before Thanksgiving, when NASCAR has the last race. But feel free to stop by any weekend. You can watch drivers fine crafting their skill. This is a very family friendly venue. And you have a great view of the track from any seat.
  • Was there for a HPDE. Such an awesome experience. The track layout is very nice. Facilities are clean, although the restroom could be cleaner, but considering there's plenty of restrooms it's not such a big deal. The organization is good and the catering was on point, the track was green and well kept.
  • Everything was easily accessible. First time I was able to take a cooler full of beer into an event. Memorable!
