The Speedway has been open since 1995 following an initiative to spur economic recovery in the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew. The 640-acre facility is active more than 280 days per year and hosts NASCAR’s Championship Races during Ford Championship Weekend (November 16-18, 2012). The Sprint Cup Championship Ford 400 is broadcast live on TV and radio to 175 countries and into 24 languages. The 2011 championship attracted ESPN Television’s largest NASCAR Sprint Cup viewership ever with a peak audience of 10.5 million when the checkered flag fell. Homestead-Miami Speedway, featuring a 1.5-mile oval and 2.21-mile road course, generates more than $250 million annually for the region.

Homestead-Miami Speedway continues its rich history of sports car racing in 2012 when the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series returns to South Florida’s road course. The Grand Prix of Miami, set for April 27-29, features Daytona Prototypes and Grand Touring classes in Race 3 of the 2012 GRAND-AM campaign. • I was at Homestead last year to watch the last step in the Nascar Sprint Cup Championship. It was an incredible experience! The closeness of the stands is very good, even to hear the noise of the machines that release the tire nuts. Unforgettable experience and highly recommended.

  • We were here for the Nascar 2015 Championship. This is an awesome facility. There was a rain delay so we spent 12 hours at this track. Very well organized, and oh so clean. Plenty of staff to handle t...  read more »
  • On Friday nights where the 1/8 is open, the entrance fee for spectators is $10 per person. For racers it's $20 per car. Unlimited passes and of course you receive your receipt of your tines at the end of each race. It can get packed but in this sport, it's not a bad thing. You will see everything from a fully tracked car with nothing but tires and track to shred, to soccer mom vans just trying to have a good time speeding down the track. Each Friday of the month varies in participants. If you enjoy these events, you will enjoy a Friday night here. I do recommend taking your own booze and grub, as the food trucks there can get pricey very fast.
  • Fantastic place to watch 4th of July fireworks. They had all kinds of events for the entire family. Live bands, bounce houses, kiddie rides and great food. The VIP program is really worth it. It provides all you can eat buffet inside the Champions building, and great view of the fireworks from the balcony.
  • I have been here several times. If you've never been to real track then this will be a great experience. But if you have had a chance to travel a little then you will quickly realize homestead speedway is about average. The facilities are not kept up quite the way they should be. I've worked at the track and have raced there. The staff is very helpful and it's usually laid back. I did the Rusty Wallace experience today. I had fun. I'd recommend it If you love NASCAR.
  • I've have attended the NASCAR championship race weekend every year for the last 5 years. It never gets old. The facility is wonderful. And it's the perfect location to end the NASCAR season. Plenty to do and see. Good food. And usually live music. If you haven't been to a race at Homestead-Miami Speedway you don't know what you are missing.
  • Facility was nice and the infield track had some decent turns. Would drive it again.
