  • Perfect little lagoon! It was gorgeous here! The parking was very reasonable. A little busy but it was spread out enough that it didn't matter. Highly recommended
  • I really liked this place. Nice little Beach for the kids. One thing is I didn't realize we had to pay for parking and we ended up getting a parking ticket of $23 but now I know. The kids really enjoyed it as well. It also has a restaurant right next to beach area.
  • This is next door to Biscayne. They have a restaurant which I thought was overrated. They have a huge parking lot and the cost for entry to the park is $5. This is not a National Park and national park passes don't work here. They have a swimming hole which should be good for children though it seemed dirty to me. Visitors can play volleyball ball here. I think it is a good complement for Biscayne next door.
  • It's close for Homestead locals. You now have to pay Miami - Dade County for parking. There's a restaurant if you are hungry or need to get sone drinks. My biggest annoyance is the life guards. Most are young adults with baf attitudes that constantly gripe at the children and others.
  • I launch my boat here at least once a week. The ramps are always in great shape. They try to keep them from getting slick by buffing them. It works and they put a lot of upkeep into the place. Launch fee is 16 dollars on weekends and 12 dollars on weekdays but I buy the season pass for 170 dollars. Well worth it. Theres a ton of parking for big boats and trailers. On holiday weekends though the lot will fill up by 10 or 11 am so get there early. Met the manager there and hes a stand up guy. Theres a fish cleaning station, fresh water wash-down for your boat. Bring your own hose. And plenty of garbage cans for everything. I have come in past midnight many times and there is always someone in a truck for security there. They find me 98 percent of the time and follow me out to let me out the locked front gate. Why they bother to lock it at all I dont know. Its super nice its 24 hours for coming back from the ocean though. I have never been locked in despite being out that late over 50 times. Just make sure if your planning on launching at 1-4 am to realize you wont be able to get in. Im not sure what time it opens in the morning either but it must be pretty early. I would guess 5 am? There is a parking fee required and the front booth is permanently closed. It used to cause big backups in the morning so Im glad its gone. You have to use one of the self service stations to pay with cash or card. You need to know your Plate number in order to use it so take a picture of it before you walk all the way over to the little station. It looks like a bit like an ATM. They will ticket you and put a boot on your trailer if you dont pay it. Once you pay it they will remove the boot. Or they just ticket you for a regular car. I have seen the boot on other trailers but never had it done on mine since I pay for the yearly pass. I have never had anything stolen out of my car either so overall I feel really good here because of the 24 hour security truck thats around. It might not look like it but theres someone there really paying attention and running the place well.
