  • Very petite and pleasant brewery. Beer is rich and tasty, amber color. Bar immediately, in which we sat several times for many hours. Recommend!

  • We stopped here on our last day in Homer and am glad we did. I am not much of a beer drinker and found the Red Knot very much to my liking! We sat at an outside table and shared 1/2 dozen oysters. Per...  more »
  • This became our local during our 4 night visit to Homer. We popped in every day we were there for a couple of brews. The oysters from next door were also very tasty. Lots of different beers to try inc...  more »

  • Highlights: they brew a solid bitter and I was pleasantly surprised by the spruce ale; I loved this beer, even though it's a style I don't usually like. Also the woman who served us was great. Before visiting this brewery, I had heard that it used to be considered a great brewery, but it was stuck in a rut and hadn't adapted to shifts in the craft beer market. I would have argued against that perspective until I heard the brewer ranting against IPA-lovers. When you start your own brewery, you have the right to brew what you like, so I can't get mad that this guy doesn't like IPAs. But it's poor taste to rant against a segment of consumers that enjoy or prefer a different style of beer than you prefer, particularly in the presence of customers.
  • Homer Brewing Company is great! Their flagship beers are delicious, and their specialities are great. The staff is knowledgable and personable. The brewery is a staple in small town Homer Alaska.
  • One of the best local breweries. Great people and great beer. If you like amber, try red knot.
  • One of my favorite breweries in Alaska. Definitely try the China Poot Porter!
  • The only reason I gave this place a one star is because if the good brew. The bartender could use some personal skills-he's awful. Just awful.
