  • We stayed at Blackwater River State Park in mid April, 2017. This was a great little state park located in Holt. FL. It was about 11 miles off I-10 and a pleasant ride back to the park. Our site was i...  more »
  • Wow! Love this place. There is so much to do if you love the outdoors. Kayaking Galore! The juniper creek hiking trail is walking distance away and 7.7 miles one way with views of juniper creek and sh...  more »
  • Nice beach and river. Campground often full on weekends. A few trails. Many pavilions for picnic and restrooms. Nothing really special compared to other areas with tupelo/baldcypress swamps that we vi...  more »

  • Good place to tube, camping spots are limited and in a loop so you pretty much stare at each other, walk way to picnic tables is way too long, only one shower to rinse off from beach, bathrooms near swimming area rarely clean enough. Park rangers definitely patrolling.
  • Very Clean campground and camp sites. Large beach area to swim and enjoy some sunbathing . Water is very dark, but clean and refreshing!
  • This place surpassed my expectations and then some. It's the best primitive camping I've seen and the hiking trail is wonderful. Leave it better then you found it and you'll leave better too.
  • Great park with plenty to do year round. The are a couple local outfitters to rent canoes, kayaks, and rubes if weather permits. In the off season this is also a great place to go for a hike through the forest or along the river.
  • White sandy beaches in an up and coming forest. It's not necessary to go thru the Ranger Station... Shorter trail, camping and pavilions are accessed this way. Longer horseshoe trail, various beaches and paddling can be accessed along road. Short drive from the Milton/Pace/Pensacola area. More likely to be annoyed with children than pets or wildlife.
